I just watched Freddy VS Jason, God do I love that movie. 8.5

Only two more movies remain in my Freddy/Jason marathon, then I think I'll check out the Hatchet films.

The Hatchet films are worth a watch if you've never seen them, the only real true throwback to old slashers of the 80's of modern day cinema, they're far from perfect but quite enjoyable, and the fact that Kane Hodder is Victor Crowley is enough for any horror fan to get excited.

Yeah that's right

Read Crystal Lake Memories he talks about it in there
I just watched it Mancuso actually talks about it specifically and if you look at producer credits he stopped with the franchise after The New Blood.

Just re watched Sinister, which I loved, but I can't decide if I like it better than The Conjuring or not. What do you guys think?

I love the Wishmaster movies. They are a bit of a guilty pleasure.

I love it mainly for the concept.

I always found it to be really unique.

I liked Sinister but I prefer The Conjuring mainly for that creepy washed out 70's Amityville type cinematography it had going on. It was a throwback to a time when horror was great.

Just picked up Life Force on Blu Ray. Stoked they gave this a high def release, haven't seen this flick forever. Remember Mathilda May being something special and the genre melding being insane.

Also grabbed Splinter, great underrated horror flick imo.

What are your guys thoughts on Wishmaster?
Need to watch it again but I remember thinking the first one was awesome. Dug the deaths.

I love the inclusion of Sam from Trick r Treat as well as two different Tim Curry's.

I agree. I was surprised how well made the Conjuring was. Really reminded me of the Exorcist. Both movies have such a great story and memorable characters, the scares really take a back seat to them. A quality sorely lacking on most modern horror movies.

Nice. As much as I dig Phantasm 1, Phantasm 2 is definitely my favorite of the series. Love that flick.

There's a lot of films on that list I've never seen. Gotta get on that.

I just watched Braindead/DeadAlive for the first time today with some friends.

That was brilliant.

I love the series too, but I a friend and I watched the ending to the first several times. It's near hilarious: "BOY!!!!".

Yeah, 2 in a way was kinda like Supernatural (the show). I love how they were hunting The Tall Man.

I said READ Crystal Lake Memories, he talks about it in the book.
I read that you said READ, but the fact is Mancuso jr didn't produce any of the F13th films after The New Blood, I'm not debating it with you it's fact that's the only point I was making I'm not disputing that he mentioned something in the book, but the documentary is a more update piece anyways and he mentions nothing about it.

I can not wait for Hammers new Frankenstein to bury I Frankenstein. Have you heard Radcliff talk about it? He pretty much gushes about how awesome it is.

I didn't even know there was a new Hammer Frankenstein movie coming out. link?

And I, Frankenstein looks odd on many levels.

I, Frankenstein looks pretty outright lame to me, not what what I was hoping for at all.

Last night watched Day of the Dead added to my list and now watching Ernest Scared Stupid.

I just realized the other day how funny it is that when watching a horror movie that use to scare the crap outta me as a child and haunted me for years I can now watch and laugh at. Instead of being scared they are now guilty pleasures to watch.

I remember as a kid (since my mom worked at a video store and I had endless access), I was deathly afraid of The Demonic Toys, Critters, Chucky, and I cant remember the name but on the cover it has the demon looking creatures coming out of the toilet. I was scared to death of these movies as a kid for years. watched them for the first time again over the past couple of years and I love them LOL my fear has turned into guilty pleasures. I'm sure there are several other movies I feel the same about as well. Any of you have this same experience?

DK

The more up today piece but nowhere near as in depth as the book.

My point was that he didn't want to call the TV series Friday the 13th and he was a producer on that show.
