Blasphemy! Both are a must watch without a doubt haha.

Went to see The Shining at the theater tonight, absolute treat to see it on the big screen.

ha, it looks like they are playing Halloween pretty soon on AMC.

I saw Visions which has the most random cast of actors ever.

Currently watching Evil Dead II, after watching Ash vs the Evil Dead I got the itch, been a while since I watched this must say.

Watched Extinction (2015) a zombie movie of sorts starring Matthew Fox.

9 years after a zombie/people turning into monsters type outbreak, Matthew Fox is a loner who lives next door (but never talks to) a man and his daughter. That's most of the movie. Eventually, just as the story seemed like it was starting to develop beyond the basic premise (about 80% of the way into the film), my DVD froze (thanks, Netflix). I had to skip to the next scene in order for it to play again...and by then the entire situation had changed. There was even [BLACKOUT]a brand new character who said about 2 sentences the rest of the film and contributed nothing to the plot...so I'm baffled as to why she even showed up.[/BLACKOUT]. What little development I saw was pretty lame. It wasn't that terrible of a movie leading up to the DVD issue...but the ending was weak even without the missed story points.

By the way...no real social commentary that I picked up...so it doesn't get bonus points. It was another one of these films that asks you to get invested in the struggles/lives of the survivors. As far as recent slow developing zombie movies go, I think I preferred Chrysalis, Dead Within, Maggie and a few others over this. Not the worst movie ever made though.

This ****ing movie! Soooooo damn awesome. Haven't seen a great inventive horror/horror comedy like this since Cabin In The Woods. Pays great homage to 80's slashers, specifically Friday the 13th. Great retro score, great music and cliches and so well done and funny. And clever and even has some great touching moments.

A must watch, it comes out on blu ray next week. I am definitely buying it to add to my collection, and will be re-watching it right away many times. Can't say enough good things about this one.

I just finished watching this tonight...holy hell, this movie is up there as one of my favorites. I think you touched every single solid point about it. It was nothing short of phenomenal.

This was a brilliantly done, self-aware, horror comedy. I was laughing so much through it. Seriously, I can't think of a better way to do it. Everything about this film, in my opinion, was exceptional.

Thank you for recommending this one!

Niceeee glad you enjoyed it! It's easily up there for me now as a favorite.

Final Girls is really fun. Definitely in my top 10 of the year. I don't think it quite reaches Cabin in the Woods or Scream level (to be fair, two of the best Horror movies since the slasher age)....but I liked it a lot. It is way, WAY better than the other new movie Final Girl (not plural).

Watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre yesterday and it has the best ending ever.

My response to any user taking a comparison to Caitlyn Jenner as a compliment.

That's a fairly "out of the blue" comment. When did any user on this thread take being compared to Caitlyn Jenner as a compliment?

Lake Eden with Michael Fassenbender
