The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Parts 1 & 2

i think i like the Mockingjay book more than some but i will say this, i have never understood how this movie split thing was going to work. they MUST have added/changed a lot or this first part is gonna feel crazy incomplete and just won't work as a movie.

also, if Part 2 is anything like the book, it's really difficult to imagine American audiences responding to it well. but they might like it over in Europe. it's definitely a bold way to finish the story.

Your post has me really intrigued. *must resist spoiling the ending*

Fandango has it at 123mins, RT has it at 125mins.

I personally liked the ending to MJ.

Not to mock your movie interests, but NO Hobbit finale, Exodus or Into The Woods?

I'm very picky on which movies I will watch in theater, mostly because I'm saving money and most of the time if I watch it in theater, I have to like buy the DVDor Blu-ray of it later. So I will just watch the movies that I really want to watch in theater, the rest, I will wait for them to come out in home media (where I could watch them more once for a price of 1).

I'm not interested in Exodus then I will wait for the home media release of Hobbit 3/Into the Woods/Secret of The Tombs/Interstellar/Big Hero 6.

i didnt know the story but since i am from Europe i needed to know how it ends.

why would America not like it and we in Europe would ? :yay:

after reading wiki the chances that part 2 will be like the book are ZERO :woot:

Anyone feel there is a lack of posters compared to Catching Fire? CF had like 10, only 3 or 4 for MJ

i absolutely cant wait to see this movie next week. i binged read all 3 books in aweek.

Early reviews are coming in and even the positives are noting what we knew all along, the last book shouldn't have been split into two films.

Yea people I know that have read the books have told me that there is no reason this should be two parts. Most say a 2 hour and 30 min movie would have been more than enough time to cover the last book. Breaking it into two parts is just studio greed. But I will still go see it lol.

Delayed in China to Jan, 2015.

Although they are spinning it as local movies need space issue, I think it has to do with the movies political message. This article has less spin.

Could China quietly bury this movie? It won't gross 1B if that happens.

I've actually decided to skip Part 1 because ultimately they will screen both 1 & 2 back to back next year. Frankly with the reviews saying it feels like a chapter not a complete narrative I can wait an extra year to see it in its entirety.

It's strange to see a strong divide for this movie. Some are calling it the BEST, yet some are calling it the worst. Well, which critic is right?

I don't know, I see it tomorrow!

It's the same for Interstellar, actually, so I don't think some of the critics gets it.

I'm leaning that way, they say the film abruptly comes to a stop so I might just sit this one out until next year. I'm very interested in what the reaction is going to be from fans who haven't read the book.

I've also decided to skip this one. I'll catch it when it hits redbox. Just not liking what I'm hearing from reviews. Plus, at the moment its ridiculously cold in my neck of the woods so going out to the theater just doesn't seem fun. Rather stay in and play some Far Cry 4 or AC Unity.
