The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Parts 1 & 2

Just what's the ****ing point of putting the movie out on a Friday? What, do they think that they're special? That they're too good for Tuesday? You're not a unique little snowflake, Lionsgate, put your s*** out when it's supposed to be put out. :o

just an FYI:

Best Buy will have the steelbook
Target will have a digipak
Walmart's will be the cheapest, but it is essentially a barebones bluray + digital copy

I watched this last week. It was pretty boring.

And now it just lost the #1 DOM spot of 2014 today.

Finally got around to seeing this and I thought it was pretty good. Low on action but I enjoyed it.

It gave me an idea for a new drinking game: Take a shot every time Katniss says "Peeta". Take a double shot every time she says "Snow". Possible side effects: alcohol poisoning, liver failure, and mild case of death.

President Snow, it's Katniss. President Snow. President Snow. It's Katniss. President Snow.

I bought the Target version. I didn't hate the movie and I think it's decent what it is, which is a set up for the big finale. The honest trailers video was kinda funny, definitely not their funniest one.

Mockingjay isn't as good as the first two, but I still like watching it. I can't wait for the fourth movie!

Bought the same version Shadow and pretty much thought the same as you. It pales in comparison to the last two in my view and JL acting was hit or miss to be honest. Very sporadic in terms of quality.

I'm just not feeling Pt.2 after Pt.1. I mean, I'll watch it, but I'm really not hyped or anything.

:funny:

The editor really should have tightened that up.

Oh and did anyone else find it strange that the director and or scriptwriter thought it was ok to have Katniss shoot down a jet onto a hospital? Then she blames it on Snow, but it still makes her look kind of dumb. She shot it down knowing that the jet's trajectory was in the direction of the hospital. Surely, there were better ways to go with that scene.

Yea I agree.

This film was a bit bland compared to the previous two (I almost forgot I had seen it!!), hope it ends on a high note though. I have no real desire to see this one again though, it all did seem like set up it had nothing to say itself.

:hehe: i gotta admit, i wanted to do the same thing Arnold is doing in that gif when i saw that scene :oldrazz:

The honest trailer really made me see the movie in a new light.

And NOT for the better.

I finally saw it and though there was something going on it was still not enough to justify it being its own film. JLaw does well in these films but I think her performance has always been overrated when it comes to this franchise (and x-men). The biggest sin of the film is that it just ends and not even in a Catching Fire style cliffhanger sort of way. I think there may be a slight dip in opening weekend and box office of part 2 because of this film.

I liked the movie.

I'm going to wait for someone to edit the two parts together I think.

I liked it too. I haven't read the books, so I don't know what new stuff they added, but I really didn't feel like story was padded. Also, I don't get the complaints about action. Neither Hunger Games nor Catching Fire were all that action-packed.
