It would take a hell of a lot of negative reviews between now and Friday morning for anyone to say this one is gonna suck.

Anybody listened to the soundtrack? I'm really loving Maroon 5's track.

Coz I bet my avatar that it wouldn't open to more than $125 million.

I thought that deal was $90 million?

And one website (boxoffice.com) has The Hunger Games opening at $115, so I'd be at least sweating, even if it was $125 million. :funny:

Well this is in heard of for a new franchise, they are showing midnight sessions down under. :wow:

I somehow lost faith in RT. There are a couple of movies that has high RT rating but totally sucked in my opinion.

I must admit that this movie is really good but this movie is really not my type of genre. I'm not into survival and reality tv fan sp I find it meh. However, it's pretty much well directed and well acted.

What's with Jennifer Lawrence? She got a nomination in Academy Awards right? I don't find her acting that special. Well, even Kiera Knightley got nominated twice in Oscars so I don't need to be critical about it. But that's just me because I saw JL in X-men first class.

That's like saying Nicholas Cage's acting in Leaving Las Vegas was nothing special because you saw him in Ghost Rider.

Did you watch the movie she got the nomination for?

I thought she was great in X-Men, Winter's Bone and this movie she is without a doubt the best. She has a very bright career ahead of her

I agree, she was excellent in Winter's Bone.

She already is having a great career.

She was amazing in Winter's Bone. I had just heard that she was cast when I started reading the books, and I couldn't picture anyone else playing that part.

I will admit that Hailee Steinfeld was who I was rooting for to get the part back when the casting speculations were starting. She just seems to be a very logical choice at that time.

^so was i she already had the smaller stature of katniss but her age would affected the casting of the male leads too much but jen looks great and reviews support that claim

I find it annoying how some in the entertainment media keep trying so hard to hype this film up...especially when they say it is the next Harry Potter, when it comes to the success of the films at least.

I for one, am turned off by the attempted force feeding style of hype of this film.

I won't be seeing this film right away.

thats call striking the iron while it's hot

all forms of entertainment do it to movies, music, sports athletes, etc.

nothing new

It's really nothing new. Personally, I never liked not seeing a movie just because it's popular. If it looks good, I don't care how much they advertise it.

They're trying to make it the next Harry Potter (and, Twilight money-wise) because they're the closest thing to describe the stories that are aimed toward a similar demographic that are huge money makers.

A movie being hyped is nothing new, if people are interested they just ride the wave until something else comes along. But not seeing it on that principle is kind of silly if your just going to ignore all the good reviews from critics and maybe from people that you know. If its a good movie and you might enjoy it why not support it.

yeah the reviews are ridiculously positive

68 review and only 7 negative at 90 %
