The Hurt Locker

Just a beautiful win, well deserved.

I'm so glad this beat out Avatar, so glad!

I was more for Inglorious Basterds but this is also a really good movie.

Very happy for this film getting BD and BP. Congrats to Kathryn on her big win and the rest of the crew!

Congrats to Kathryn! it was nice to see a woman take the big one home for sure :woot:

The best part was the reaction of the three actors behind Kathryn.

Yeah i gotta agree, that was priceless. I was really excited for them, they were so happy. One can only imagine what people must feel at that moment, must be cool :woot:

I thought this was funny....

James congratulates her...

lol^^

Wasn't he sitting behind her? Probably kicking her chair throughout the evening whispering "you're gonna loose, you're gonna loose" :woot:

Kathryn Bigelow how cool is she?!!

Director of Point Break & Hurt Locker, both films that I would never think a woman capable of making lol!! To top that of she looks amazing for a 40 year old, never mind 58!

Great person to start the ball rolling for the women.

I say she looks pretty good for a 58yr old, GILF! :wow: :woot:

Keanu and Kathy need to team-up again. Like right now.

that would have been pretty funny if she accepted the offer since Cameron was denied back in the 90s.

Kathryn Bigelow for Wonder Woman, damnit :cmad:

saw the movie today and didn't enjoy it at all. I thought avatar, D9 and IB were all better movies. with the hurt locker taking best picture I expected so much more, truth is I think point break is a better movie.

7/10

I just saw it too. I didn't really like it much either. I mean...there was no plot whatsoever. It's just these soliders going from one military operation after another. I'm not saying it was a bad film...but I just guess war movies aren't the type of movies I like I guess...

Best direction it should have won, but Best movie... at least not for me.

I don't like war movies either but so much fuss was made about this movie I thought I'd check it out. MEH! I gave it a 7 as well because it was beautifully shot, can't take that away from the movie.

I finally saw the movie and I enjoyed it, but was it worth an academy award...I say hell no.It just didnt grip me.The blind side, Up, D9, IB, Precious (really should have won) were better than this movie.

Ugh...you thought Precious should have won?

I have no problem with some people not liking The Hurt Locker but Precious was your typical film about someone overcoming something. It was basically a glorified after school special.

I liked that The Hurt Locker won but would have been just as happy if Inglourious Baseterds had won.

I'm glad it one...because I hated Inglourious Basterds. :)
