The (Un)Official Hypester Podcast! - inspired by user Ingrid Cold after the success of SuperHeroSkype!, Cold and other Hype members came together to make a Podcast for the Hype Forums. It seemingly failed miserably and after only one Podcast, Cold abandoned the idea and left The Hype altogether.

Hypesters (Facebook Group) - A group formed for the intent of Hype Members being friends on and off of The Hype. With over 100 users, Hypesters was cited as much more interesting that the actual Hype. With an apparent lack of censorship, members would post freely all of their thoughts and feelings in regards to threads, members, and mods. After being a group for a couple of years, Admin EXCELSIOR began to threaten lawsuits aimed at the Group owner (Colossal Spoons) for infringing on the Hype name and not asking for permission to make a Group dedicated to the Website and Forums. It has since been taken down and replaced with Hypesters: The Next Generation, with a passive-agressive disclaimer about not being affiliated with the actual Hype website or forums.

I think it was over the span of a few days and even spilled over onto the Hype, I don't remember exactly, but yeah. It was insane.

Spoons should have challenged him to try it. It sounds like it'd be an extremely hard case to win, otherwise 90% of unofficial fan pages on Facebook would get removed.
