Before this thread gets any bigger, a suggestion:


I wouldn't devote Encyclopedia entries to individual posters or we're going to have to have an entry for every mod, doofus and troublemaker that's ever been on these forums. Plus, everyone's going to want an entry for themselves and their friends.

Thus, an entry for "Dew's penguins" is fine, but an entry for Dew herself would be too long and drawn out. Bakerboy and Parker should just be part of the "Organics Suck" entry, Roy should be part of the "CINO" entry, and PALADIN should be part of a "political debate" entry.

In other words, make entries about noteworthy trends that these posters have started instead of the posters themselves.

SHH megalomaniac - Any newbie poster who claims to have been "lurking here for years" before actually posting. Everyone knows this is a lie. No one "lurks" on message boards for years and just reads the silly rantings of other people unless they are completely devoid of brain power. However, since no one would openly admit to being completely devoid of brain power, these newbies instead make the claim of being a "lurker", as if it isn't saying the same thing.

CINO was inspired by GINO. Godzilla In Name Only. since CINO there was a wave of INOs. so it did popularise the term on the hype.

That's an old reference that the class of 2000 & early 2001 will get. It was used briefly as a reference to a porno due to the ludicrous argument between myself & AmazonKwene (currenyly known as Honey Vibe) where she argued the point that the movie Event Horizon was porno because it had boobs in it.

A Poll for the mature poster only please...: The infamous "do you shave your genitals" thread. This thread spawned 53 pages and has lasted around three years. The last post within the thread came around two weeks ago. It still lives on strong and will continue to draw many curious little boys and girls for years to come.

Not only is it one of THE rarest of threads in that is has practically stayed "on topic" throughout its 50 plus pages, but it's one of a few threads that have been ressurected.

About a year & a half ago, I was complaining that it disappeared off the face of the Hype, and good ol' TruthTeller told me he found it in the admin's deleted thread bin with no explanation as to why it was there. It was quickly ressurected and I'm glad to see that it's such a staple around here, that it's made its way into the Hype Encyclopedia.

Sure there was, it was at a time where no MODs were on for over an hour to stop it, and then after it was finally deleted, about 20 "GOATSE Recovery" threads popped up that had, in my opinion, some of the funniest posts I've ever seen here.
