The "I Hate Claire Bennett" Thread

this thread needs a bump everytime Claire acts like some teenage brat. On Monday Feb. 16th episode, she broke up Noah's marriage probably, she didn't seem concern by it............ and than later she is sad about it.

The problem is Noah lies yes......... but Claire is more of a cynical bad liar as well......

She lies all the time about where she is..... she lied to Noah while she was pratically helping out that kid who can breathe underwater........ and now she has him in her room while she is having that stupid melodramatic scene with Noah just before he leaves the house?????

Claire has the same problem as Hiro...both of them are too filled with pride. They both want to do everything and save everyone and be the savior of the world...but in reality they aren't competent enough as characters to do that, hence why those two more than anyone else find themselves in the most trouble; trouble that they have to be saved from.

My dream episode right now involves Claire, Hiro, and Sylar duking it out while the ground opens up underneath them casting them all into a bottomless pit from which they never return.

Or all of them getting shot into the sun. Haven't really decided which yet.

Can't we get a season where everyone just hunts Claire down? Like EVERYONE. And they all get to kill her in different ways. And then she heals. And at the end, Matt gives her a new personality. Sweet.

Seriously tho, all her complaining and uselessness just kills me. She complains about being underused or unable to be utilized as a hero, and then she's ultimately unable to do anything about it, making her even more useless...she needs to learn how to fight. Instead of brewing with angsty resentment towards her father, she should just take it in stride, tell him what he wants to hear, then crime-fight by night. Problem solved!...as long as once she's finally become a hero, she doesn't complain about how hard being a hero is.....

that'd be sweet, but I don't think it has anything to do with the character, but rather the unskilled delivery by Hayden... IMO, she's pretty sucky in Heroes, and I think they put too much of the weight of the show on her. Every claire centric episode after the first season has been pretty meh.

it was interesting enough at first, but again, her angsty whining is getting repetitive and annoying--i think she has a permanent scowl. I'd like to see her explore the depth of her abilities more, like when she tried experimenting by cutting off her toe, or in the beginning, when she made videos chronicling various attempts at killing herself. It's still a cool ability, we just don't see her making herself useful enough.

She used to be a favorite of mine in Season 1. I think now she needs to lose the anger and the attitude and go back to making videos of attempts to push her abilities as far as they go.

But there's a big difference between the two. It's fun watching Hiro. Claire's just an unlikable *****.

I don't really have a problem with Hiro, I find him quite comical actually.

I hope the writers save the cheerleader...she started out so strong in Season 1. Bring her back to that place--I want to be able to root for her again.

Agreed. Granted I think it's been palatable lately because she's been less of a feature the past few episodes. Not a minor role mind you, just not as much of the focus. I haven't really enjoyed many episodes lately they focus on her more (just like with Hiro), but thankfully we haven't been bombarded by her lately.

Well, I agree with you to a certain extent. I'd also say that Claire has the same problem as Hiro.
But I think it's a different problem, ready...

They've been exceedingly poorly written since season 1 ended.

For what it's worth, he has good intentions with his lies. Claire usually (not always) is being a bit of a jerk when she does it.

I don't see why people say she's hot. I mean, I wouldn't turn her down in bed but I've seen women in porn a lot hotter than her. She's so freakin annoying and I wish she'd leave the show. Can I join the "I hate Claire Bennett" Club? And if so, where's the VIP cuase I'm heading straight for it!
