The I Hate "Two and a Half Men" show thread...

C'mon you have a problem with a sitcom about Topper Harley and Lenny Luthor? :D

Not a fan of the show. Others in my family are and I'll watch it with them on ocassion. It seems really "hit or miss" to me, with "miss" being the majority of the time.

They seem to go with all of the "safe humor" that was considered at one time considered "edgy TV" in the mid 90's. Now that all of the elderly, rural, conservative folk have "caught up" so it's fair game for CBS since thats the Network they dominate the viewership of. Even on CBS I think How I Met your Mother and The Big Bang Theory are much funnier shows.

While it's not my cup of tea or anything, I have seen some funny stuff on the show.

It doesn't interest me enough to watch it though. The Office, My Name Is Earl, and Scrubs are leagues more interesting.

It's probably the #1 most watched sitcom for Mondays between 9pm-9:30pm. I can't believe that this show does better than The Office or My Name is Earl.

not by me, I watch Heroes

personally i like two and a half men...

then again i do own dvds of sitcoms from the 70's and watch them now and again so really the fact it feels like it came from the 90's isnt that big a deal to me. also everyone loves charlie sheen...

How I Met Your Mother is definately way better. And yeah, I've noticed women watch this show too, including my mother and female friends.

I personally don't think the show is good, but I think it's entertaining. It's something I can watch and not give a crap what really happens because it makes me laugh a little bit. The show isn't meant to be taken seriously and it doesn't even try to be.

Two and a Half Men? Which one is supposed to be the half-a-man? That "kid" is bigger than the adults and Jon Cryer plays a pansy. I'll go with Cryer.

:hehe: When the show first started, the kid was supposed to be the half man. But now that he's big, I guess they can't just suddenly change the name to 3 Men now.

^ most likely, the best moment in this show ever. :wow:

On Monday of the current week, CBS remained on top behind "Two and a Half Men" (5.1/12 in 18-49, 14.63m) and "How I Met Your Mother" (4.0/10, 9.45m).

If the world was just, those ratings would be reversed.

the kid on this show has gotten pretty big. His voice even cracked. It was better when he was younger and still considered the "half man".

I saw an episode where Megan Fox was washing the windows :wow: . It was incredible.

I'm not a fan of the Laugh Track the show uses and it grows increasingly annoying as the show progresses.

The funnier a show is, the less annoying the laugh track seems. The laugh track on this show is very annoying.

God, I'm so sick of idiots who complain about tv shows (no matter what show it is). If you don't like it, don't watch it. Also, if you don't watch it than don't whinge about it. That makes no sense.

Yeah, because it's not like this is a forum where we can discuss movies and tv series.:whatever:

I can't believe shows still use laugh tracks. It's okay when there's an actual live studio audience, but only sketch comedy shows do that anymore. Otherwise, the show is just trying too hard to tell us when something was supposed to be funny.

How I Met Your Mother does fine

Yeah, I know that, but if you don't like a show, than you most likely don't watch it. So how can anyone discuss a show they don't watch? And if they don't like it than why do they watch it?

I think I just confused myself. :woot:

I've seen a few episodes in syndication. Couldn't get into it. At all.
