The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

3. It would have been great if at Battle Royale Sandman stopped fighting after he sees his daugther ..it would've been more emotional and logical..
YESSSS! exactly that makes so much sense. why the hell didnt they do that?!

I liked the Dancing part of SM3....that was it.

No he's not insane, it's his opinion and I agree with him. Some things worked better in sm1 and 2 but overall sm3 imo is the superior film, simply because despite the changes, which to be fair were already established in sm1 and 2, this film had more of a comic book feel to it and it was simply a lot more entertaining.
To be honest, all 3 spidey movies are bullsh1t but at least sm3 was bullsh1t that entertained.

I just feel that SM3 realy was over hyped crap on a stick...

One thing I liked about 3, was the change felt between the characters by the end of the movie.

The unspoken reconciliation of Mj/Peter at the end is well done [and much more in tone with the other movies]. Peter became a real grade A prick in this one, but you got the sense that he KNEW he did wrong and grew stronger as the result. They both offer a silent shoulder to cry on.

In this respect, it's the better of the trilogy, as it doesn't rely on a major plot device to further the story [a la, the dual revelations to MJ/Harry at the end of 2].

Rather, the characters mature and develop in a better and more realistic way. Sure the dancing was goofy [and something I hate] but at least we can all agree that it demonstrated a fundamental lasting change in the personalities of the characters.

Half of that was rambling, excuse 90% of that. I'm tired [LATE NIGHT]. I need my caffeine fix...badly. :ninja:

Venom should have stayed, Sandman should have died...

Spider-Man 3 is a great movie, and I believe to be a bit misunderstood and underrated here. I see far fewer flaws in it than a lot of people on here do, mostly cause it seems everyone wants 50 minutes of character development on all the characters (I thought the development outside of the Butler scene and Brock was done well), and that is just unreasonable.

That, and people make too big of a deal about Raimi's style of humor being used to lighten the movie.

It was too much like F4 Rise of The Silver Surfer. It was almost at the same times they would bring the villians in. I realy didn't care for either of them, but yet those 5 min. of Venom was somehow enough for me to like it more.

agreed, and it's not because i hate sandman, sony could made the same amount SM3 made for SM4,because everyone knew that venom survives after SM3, but with sandman, not to sure. Especially after SM3, i doubt sandman and spidey will ever team up, imo

Spider-Man 3 = Marvel's Crown Jewel.

Nuff said.

I don't really understand all the hate either. I did feel it was rushed towards the end, but it sure as hell was entertaining. It's definitely the most enjoyable of the three, IMO.
