I laughed at the absurdity at how she described it: "I don't know, I guess I didn't like that Venom came to Earth took over Spider-Man and then another guy who became like Spider-Man." Is anyone else running into this? Jeez... I feel like I have to explain comic book history with the uninitiated.
That she described VENOM as the symbiote in it... no, she got it- but I just still find it funny that people are calling the symbiote and black suit Spider-Man Venom.
The concept is right, the wording is a little funny...
How often have others ran into this- people mislabeling the symbiote, black suit Spider-Man and Venom?
Well, I don't blame them, considering that half of the SM3 reviews did the exact same thing. ****, there's even some inconsistency in the comics as to whether "Venom" applies to the symbiote by itself, the symbiote and a human host, or exclusively the symbiote and Brock, etc. When you get down to it, really, it's just semantics, let them call that thing whatever the hell they want, as long as it forms a sweet drooling monster at the end out of Topher Grace that kicks ass, I'm satisfied.
I really love this movie!!! And it's the most stunning piece of cinema ever crafted (well so far!)...
There are some things I would've done differently, but I still love it! One thing we all have in commen (well 98% of Us anyway), is that we all really didn't know what to think the 1'st time seeing it. Already at the 2'nd viewing it got a whooole lot better!
Funny, all who said they HATED it, all went back for a 2'nd viewing! Isn't that some funny ****! If they REALLY hated it, they would've NEVER payed money to see it a 2'nd time... I think this movie just evolved in a totally different direction, than expected, but it succeeded anyway! "3" despite its somewhat many flaws, is still the best!
ps: I'm puking over those who think Spidey 2 (as much as I like it!) is the BEST superhero movie ever made! BS!!! That title goes to Richard Donners very first "SUPERMAN" movie from 1978! I know you're all allowed to your own opinions, I just think it's BS!
)Glad to see someone who shares my opinions!Naite, yeah, SR is a really great movie. I really don't know what people's problems are with it. Sure it had no big action piece, but for me- it's the characters that made the film. Spacey was a great Luthor. And it really places Superman on a human level while still being a "god." It's REALLY difficult to watch at times because of it's strong emotions- Luthor beating Superman up, Superman falling from the sky, getting back the power, and especially the final scene with his son. "The son becomes the father, and the father the son."
And as I said, maybe some of you will agree- but it's near IMPOSSIBLE chosing the top ten in any correct order... because, for me, they're mere DECIMALS away from each other. And the list evolves accordingly all the time.
He did such a fantastic job taking over from Christopher Reeve (whom I LOVED in the role!). Routh is just as good as Superman!!! Not quite up to par with Reeve in terms of his portrayal of Clark Kent, but that's not his fault. That was just the way he was directed. They didn't make Routh's Clark Kent quite as geeky as Reeves. But he was absolutely fantastic! Remember when he walks in to the plane, after he's landed it in the stadium!??? "Is every one all right?" It just blew me away!!! That was freaken Reeve right there! Routh is amazing! He brings back what we all loved about Reeves superman character, yet he makes it his own! I don't know why some people laugh at Peter crying. A superhero can't be heartbroken?

^ fair enough.... I'm sorry, but History of Violence!? how does that qualify as a superhero flick?
