The "I loved Spider-Man 3" Thread!

I just came back from seeing it,and got on here and i only see people saying they really hated it,i admit,it wasnt the best, but people make it seem as this was the worst movie ever made! of course i was a little dissapointed being a spidey fan but c'mon, at least it wasnt like Ghost rider or X3! I just hope if they make a fourth movie that they make it a bit better. But of course ,every one has different tastes.
So this is the thread for the ones who liked the film, please if you want to bash the movie,go to the other thread.

I just came back from watching this movie. To be honest, everything indeed did feel rushed, and the timing of the movie really restrained it and held it back. If it was longer and had the chance to fit everything in and things wouldn't appear as corny as they may have seemed. Nevertheless, I LOVED the movie. It didn't reach the expectations I had for it at first, though it heightened my respect for it alot from when I started reading the reviews and calculating how bad this movie would be in my head. I'm not really in the mood for writing a long and descriptive review of the story, because truly in wording it sounds alot worse than it really is, though it is still a worthwhile watch.

Hulk, X-Men 3, and Ghost Rider shed tears as every moment of the movie progresses, and that includes the apparently cheesy Dark Peter scenes which honestly wern't as bad as people claim. It keeps fine continuity with the other movies and it hasn't strayed away too far from them(many flashback scenes, too many of the Ben Parker murder I admit), or reduced the franchise to crap. It just feels like a good movie that has been trimmed down too much for the theater and truly that's what it is. It just doesn't balance, yet is brilliant either way.

Spider-Man 1: 8.5
Spider-Man 2: 9.6
Spider-Man 3: 9.4

From the very start with just the different themes it feels like the movie has become very different to what we had seen in Spider-Man 1 and 2. The angles seem different, the tension, cg, etcetera. though the acting and story stays the same throughout. To be honest I need to see it a few more times to really grasp it properly when I speak here, though I'd say the intro is on par with 2 and I liked what they did with it. Many things about this movie are different though, and to be honest like others I'll never forgive how underused some elements were in this movie with such a high budget, though it's whatever floats your boat. It had the potential to be better; just isn't. It's entertaining either way.

i saw the movie last night and i had mixed feelings, mostly because of the whole peters dancing in the street no "pun intended". but afterwords i thought about and what better way to turn the actor into a prick then by trying strut his stuff up and down the street and flirting with girls and all that jazz. But the scenes like when mr dikovitch asks for peters rent and peter yelled back i got chilss. same when he fought harry the only part of that i thought was cheesy was harrys, i always protected you in highschool, now im gonna kik your little ass; thing was kind of weird. the cgi was amazing probably the best in the trilogy.the first goblin fight was beautifully done, and the ending battle was fantastic.and i dont think bruce campbell could have portrayed the french better. i give this movie a 9.5

I loved it, no doubt. My favorite scene is where Venom and Sandman make a team up. Venom's voice with the mask on is creepy but cool.

Didn't really like Venom's voice. Sure, it was nicely amplified but they did it in a very *****ty way. He sounded like what you'd expect the bulky comic book Eddie to sound like, not Venom(in fact, sometimes when I heard Eddie talk in that scene I was nearly misled into it being Sandman talking). I think they toned it all down because they didn't want to make Venom too demonic-like and scary; It's unfortunate. The voice didn't really lip-synch either, which was stupid. Oh well, still a killer movie. It's deffinetly not Begins or even Spider-Man 2 quality, though it's still great.

Loves it!

I definitely think they could've added a nice vocoder to his voice. It would've added a lot to the character. The animation on his face while talking however was beautifully done.

It was entertaining and thats all that matters.

I agree that it was entertaining, but compared to the other two films ...

But anyway, I did enjoy it. It's far from being another Superman IV or another Batman & Robin.

my favorite part....

Waitress: How's your pie??

Harry: It's soooo good...

freakin classic i loved the way he said that very hilarious

i couldn't help but burst into laughter when spidey yells shazzam! at the celebration and does his little pose. haha awesome :)

^That seems to be a gripe many critics had. They should remember all the **** Peter's been through in the past two movies. A bit of enjoyment on Peter's part is really long overdue. :spidey:

The entire audience cracked up at that part. That was probably the most well delivered line in the whole movie; and I felt there were quite a few good ones. Topher Grace had some exceptionally funny lines. If anyone can remember a couple, please post them here.

yeah that was fricken funny! for such a dark movie I laughed a lot.

I really loved the movie. I liked the action and the humor, and overall I thought it was a blast. I was even satisified with my Venom fix. My only real issue is that the overall tone of this film left me feeling down when it was all over instead of me being either wowed or really upbeat.

It was a shame for Pete and Harry to finally be friends again, only to be reunited for such a brief time...but if you need that bit of tragedy in a movie...or a tug at your heartstrings moment, then this sure did fit the bill.

Plus, I would've loved a little more resolution to Peter and MJ. I know that what we're left with is giving us a hint or glimpse of optimism, but I wanted to be ensured that everything was fine between them...that each one of them could explain their uncharacteristic actions ("Harry made me leave you"/"That mean ol' suit made me smack ya.") and that they'll be moving on from there.

And the lack of a closing swinging scene bothered me as well. I just loved those in the last two films...they really left me with that upbeat feeling that I like to have after watching a movie...(just like Superman's fly-bys at the end of his movies...) Those kind of scenes are just really great notes to leave a film on. This ending was so low key, that as I said...even though I loved the movie to death, left me kind of bummed out as the credits rolled.

But aside from those little issues, this was a great, great movie. I'd give it a 9...docking a point for it's bummer inducing-ness.

I loved this movie. I'm not going to say it was the best, but I think it might be my favorite. But I understand why all the fanboys are *****ing about it. In an age where Kill Bill, V for Vendetta and Sin City give fanboys orgasms, I guess a movie about a guy where the hero forgives the badguy is beyond their comprehension.

Honestly, it takes alot more courage to forgive than to kill someone. SM3 reminded me why Spider-man will always be the ultimate hero, because he is human, he makes mistakes, but in the end he does the right thing.

But I guess people now a day would rather have Batman kill the evil crime boss in cold blood.

People who complain about Peter crying are just plain ignorant. I lost my mother to cancer, and I know first hand the emotional pain you go through when you lose someone close to you. People who complain about Marko crying don't have children, and don't know the love that you feel the first time you hold that little tiny miracle in your arms.

I am proud of this movie, and proud of this franchise. It most definitely is the best "3" movie in any Superhero franchise by a mile. I think it's right up there with SM2, and I liked it a little better than SM1.

It was refreshing having Spidey be a little overconfident and cocky, and then have that go even further in the black suit. I love the fact that he forgives Sandman and lets him go. It takes a big human being to forgive someone like that. That's what I like about the Spidey trilogy. In the first one, he doesn't kill Goblin, Gobby kills himself. In 2 he doesn't defeat Ock, he turns Ock into a hero. Forgiving Sandman was the icing on the webbed cake.

wow I'm surprised that so many people on these boards hated it. I for one loved it, Great action scenes and loved the comedy they threw in there. The final fight was awesome imo. My brother who was Iffy about it loved it and he's hard to please. but I guess everyone is intitled to their opinion.

Came back from the movie. Two words:loved it!Even its campy moments:spidey:

ummm venom looked...LAME!

I loved this movie especially Venom , and why complain about his size and looks it was the perfect size not overexaggerated and perfect look with the distorted webs.
