There are certain people, films, Singers and everything in between that everyone seems to love, Except me. Chances are you've experienced it too.

What things does everyone you know seem to love, seem excited for, that just leave you asking, Why?

For me, Lord of the rings, Everyone seems to love it, really love it, it's epic it's amazing. To be honest, its boring, one of the most boring film's i've sat through (yes, i've seen all 3, my missus likes them).

*Opinions stated in this thread are just that and should be treated as such.

Competitive eating. It actually disgusts me on a moral and visceral level.

Watching other people do things that should really only be fun when you do them. Golf, bowling, poker, driving (NASCAR and the like), and yes, eating.

Paul Reubens going back into the entertainment industry as Pee Wee Hermann. He's 58 years old and still acting like an idiot.

Does everyone remember what happened to him in the adult book store?

I don't see the appeal to The Pirates of the Caribbean movies & Twilight. I never got intrested in pirates & vampires that can be around during daylight hours & sparkle.

I could see the appeal of the first Pirates, but they got more convoluted than the Matrix.

I really dont see the appeal of this thread.

I really don't see the appeal of cars. One friend in particular goes gaga over any nice car he passes in the lot, stopping to leer at it as if it was a naked woman. Starts drooling about its muffler and rims. To me, a car is just a metal box that gets you from point A to point B.

Kane, go drink some more haterade.

I really don't see the appeal of (crazy edition) Charlie Sheen either. His antics were funny for about two days and then it all got so old.

I agree with you there JJJ's. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy a nice, comfy, vehicle, etc, but going overboard on rims, mufflers, chrome, is not my cup of tea.

Ditto that.

What happened to you, you used to be cool.:yay:

So Reubens is actually bringing Pee Wee back? i know he did a one off thing, but he's really bringing the character back. For his age that's going to be a bit odd.

Im dont see the appeal of vampires. Dracula, Twilight, True Blood. I just dont get it. There are some vampire related things I like but for the most part I dont see why theyre so popular.

Agreed

Night clubs too, with the offensively loud music, over priced drinks and the feeling like your in a cattle market. Every time i went it was such a chore.

Yeah, I hate dance clubs. How can you pick up a girl when you can't even hear what she's saying? And I hate having to pretend to dig the terrible music that's pumped out. And of course the dancing is just an excuse to embarrass myself.

Never thought he was that funny to begin with.:o

I don't see the appeal of being a hipster...
And the appeal of being an anti-social tool (S.A.A.D  ).

I don't get the appeal of dancing, can we just get around to having sex if you really want to see me bust some moves my dear.

I also couldn't get into the movie sideways, suppose it was too high brow for a prole like me.

Not everyone dances to seduce someone... I don't. I just like to dance!:awesome:

Why am I not surprised this is S.A.A.D.? Anyways here we go for the ones I give a **** about:

- Futurama's funny, has some talented writers and probably one of the best voice casts on television currently. People didn't strike the return for no reason when there was doubts about the voice cast not returning for no reason.

- Travelling? Seriously. You don't see the point in getting out of the house? Seeing the world? Seeing new unique sights?

- You see movies with people not to avoid being alone, but because it's fun? Because company is better? Because you have some to discuss the movie with after it's over?

- How do you make new friends then? How do you date? Getting to know strangers most of the time is absolutely necessary.

- Similar to the girls night out/in. The guy's night out is a bunch of dudes who are friends having fun and enjoying **** with their buds. How can't you see the appeal of that?

- Once again with Travelling. It's to see new sights. To be cultured. To know the world you are in. Seriously, living a sheltered life is not good for you.

I'm not even gonna **** with some of the others you've listed. Most everything you listed has some form of appeal that's just common sense. I'll agree with you on weed and getting drunk. The appeal most commonly sighted is to get away from your problems, but it's only a temporary solution, so yeah it's a dumb appeal.
