its the opening of the movie apparently.. its the opening of the novel anyways..

Hang on a sec... Captain America?

Not in costume tho right, are we to understand from this he is already cast... ?

Am I missing something? ....

I really hope we get an extended cut on dvd, I mean if they do have all that extra footage why not do it, now thats not saying they have to use it all but if you can make an equally as good or better version with the footage why not do it? It's nice for the fans to have a choice and decide for themselves also I still remember how great the Daredevil extended cut was with the extra 30 min.

In LL's interview with "Attack of the Show", he called the 3-hr cut of the film the "suicide version." Because you wanted to kill yourself after watching the whole thing. He then said that he had no intention of doing a "Director's Cut" but that all of the extra footage WOULD show up on DVD. So if he sticks to his guns, I don't think we'll get an extended version of what gets released tomorrow.

This won't be out on DVD and BluRay till November/December the earliest. But here is some news you might be interested in:

http://www.darkhorizons.com/news08/080611i.php

A few days back, "The Incredible Hulk" director Louis Leterrier admitted that the initial rough cut of the film (the assembly), the one that he and Edward Norton had their apparent dispute over, ran at about three hours.

Of course the final film is much shorter than that, a breezy 106 minutes, which has resulted in some mixed early reviews and complaints of it being truncated. Letterier has also previously stated that he does not intended to do an alternate or 'extended' cut of the film either.

Now in an interview with Collider, he reveals that he intends for the eventual Blu-ray and DVD release film to contain all that cut footage - a total of 70 minutes of footage not included in the final theatrical cut including two scenes shown in the trailers that definitely didn't make the final version of the film.

One of those scenes includes the Captain America cameo says Judao. Whilst the serum is mentioned frequently throughout the film, the crew shot a whole quite dark sequence where Bruce Banner travels to the Arctic Circle and meets up with Captain America.

That's going to be awesome if there is an extended cut with 70 additional minutes. That'll be just under 3 hours...

Dear God, PLEASE let this be true!.... It'll be like watching the movie all over again, as never seen before!... and I'm sure that that 3 hour cut will be TONS better and even more story-driven/intense then what the theater-version ended up beeing (even though I'm completely confident that that one is badass enough).

PS! Movie's like this is definitely one to own on Blu-Ray!... I mean, I have "Good Will Hunting" on dvd (great great movie!), but who the **** needs to see that in High-Def!!!??? Nuff said.

After seeing the film, I'm glad they cut this scene. Forget about traumatizing the kiddies, I think the movie works better not seeing the Hulk right off the bat. I know they were promoting it early on by saying you would see the Hulk in the first five seconds but this way works so much better. The chase, lead up and anticipation delivers a better experience. Seeing the Hulk in shadows, freaking out an unsuspecting assault team is wonderful. Stepping out of those shows for his big reveal is perfect. Dark psychological undertones aside, I think they made the right call.

The French are no strangers to gilding the lily, and I imagine that he translates things badly from his native tongue into English.

His English is quite good, but we might be getting more or less then what he intends us to understand.

On another note, I wouldn't be surprised if after all this we do get some sort of extended cut on top of additional scenes.

Think about it this way, they are trying to sell this film as is, if Letterier were to say at this point "Yes, once the DVD comes out the fans will get the version me and Norton wanted them to see" it would be counterproductive.

First of all it would refuel the gossip of the conflicts between them and Marvel, and it would make those wary of this movie less likely to go see it because people wouldn't want to go pay for an incomplete movie... So why not just save up for the DVD?

Its a shame we wont see an extended cut, not that the theatrical release suffered from what I saw (didnt see any rushed or obviously cut elements forced together in the release), but if there is so much content, I would have hoped the better stuff could have been spliced into an extended version.

I think my theory makes sense, they might have an extended cut, or directors cut planned, but saying so this early might negatively effect ticket sales amongst those unsure about this movie.
