There are people who rag on the CG hoping for improvement, and I have an understanding on why they feel that way (but I try to reinerate that it is a work in progress till you pay to see it) some who rag on it to simply turn some people against the film for whatever reason. That 2nd group is the posters that usually cause the most problems.

No. It was ppl wanting their beloved hero to look the best he possibly could, with todays currrent technology. And knowing full well, that those other trailers weren't delivering that.

People were picking apart every single scene though, actively looking for faults in the tiniest of places, that imo was taking the debate to the extreme.

Based on what Hurd said about reading the SHH boards, i'd say the picking apart might have had an effect on how much further and harder the guys at R&H worked on perfecting the CG.

No, I dont think so. The criticism I have heard here in the past couple months wasn't constructive for the most part. Some comments were, but alot of it didn't really tell anyone what exactly needs to be tightened up and toned down.

Well you apparently weren't reading all the post, because alot of them made references to texture and rendering issues; exactly what seems to have been tightened up in the new tv spots.

I don't think they made the changes because of the complaints, I think they always intended them to be this good.

Rendering goes with that "uncompleted trailer fx excuse" that people who were trying to explain to others complaining about it being sub-standard. The skin texture hasn't been toned down, just everything around it has been brought up.

I'd like to believe that. But it's no good beating this dead horse over, and over guys. the Cg looks awesome now.
