I don't know how popular I this among the daredevil fans, but I would love to then armored version his outfit be used.

Pretty badass.

I just ordered the Fall from Grace storyline so I'll give it an open mind, but it strikes me as being everything bad about 90s Marvel. It's extremely unnecessary overall. Its not iconic. It's something most would rather forget. At least Daredevil had lasted for thirty years by that point so a shakeup would be a big. A costume change to that costume (I'm ambivalent about a change from yellow to red, but I'd prefer just red) would feel like it's just adding crap in too soon.

I will post this defense of the costume, but I'm also gonna post this view, which is more mainstream. As far as post-Miller runs go, Denny O'Neil is mostly forgotten, Ann Nocenti is controversial (either love her or hate her), but D.G. Chichester seems consistent: Starts off good, but completely falls of the rails around the point DD gets a new costume.

Pretty well hated design huh? That's too bad, I think it looks pretty neat.

I honestly think it looks pretty cool. But I wouldn't want it for the show.

I don't think the design is bad, I just don't want it.

I don't think the design itself is that bad, it's just that it's representative of such a bummer era of Daredevil's history, and his classic suit is so great. It's almost like suggesting the Ben Reilly suit for a Spider-Man movie.

Still surprised that we haven't seen anything from Marvel on this costume, or even just anymore information on their next movies and such (Strange, etc.)

SILENT

I...I love that suit. And Ben Reilly. I discovered Marvel comics at a young age right when the Clone Saga was happening, so that was my introduction to Spider-Man. And I thought it was awesome!

My secret wish is for Marvel to get the Spider-Man rights back, pump out 3 or 4 Spidey movies, and then do a proper Clone Saga film. With Ben. And that great sweater costume.

I'm sorry. Here's my Marvel Fanboy Card. I'll just see myself out... :(

I really hope that the costume looks cheap.

What I mean by that is, I hope that it looks like something Matt Murdock could have plausibly made on his own without access to expensive machines or materials.

I don't want this for realism or believability, I want this for thematic reasons. Matt Murdock is the underdog. He's a working class Irish-Catholic lawyer who works civil cases for small businesses and families suing huge companies essentially pro-bono and moonlights and a public defender. His arch enemy is a wealthy and corrupt businessman who employs half of his neighborhood. He is the living embodiment of lower class, Irish-Catholic, inner city liberalism. His costume should look homemade. Especially if, as others have suggested, it incorporates his father's old boxing equipment.

Maybe Gladiator is already reformed and is making his Costumes, then showing them battle in flashbacks, with Matt wearing a cheap cobbled together yellow and red costume

I definitely don't want the Gladiator to be reformed. I want to see Gladiator as a full-on villain for the first season or two, so that we see his journey, and so that we also see him as a real threat for DD. You can't really appreciate him being reformed if you haven't seen him as a villain first.

I do wonder how Matt makes his costumes though, given that he is blind. Yes, he can use his radar sense, but does he see colours, and how well can he execute designs? Maybe he needs a confidante in the MCU who knows his identity to make it more realistic. Perhaps it could be a Catholic priest who is also a bit of a dab hand with sewing.

Id be down for that for the majority of season 1. He can alllie himself with someone that could refine his look towards the end/finale of his first season.

I want that to be his look throughout the entire series. There's no need for him to refine it. It isn't about looking fancy.

He could always throw a mismatching outfit together in the first episode. It could have one black boot, one red boot and other colours in there. Someone could ask him if he's actually seen what he's wearing or if he's blind.

It depends on the tone of the show. A joke like that can very easily fall flat.

As for the logistics of him handling colors, as long as he trusts that the fabric he's working with is the right color, he'd be fine.

Im thinking something like this is the perfect mix of comic and reality. Just make a DD version of this style.

Nah, I'm good with the simple homemade look for a most of a season but at some point I want him to look super heroic and have some close semblance of what I've always seen him look like in my comicbooks.

That would look like a real budget costume, as if they aren't even trying. Couldn't your argument be made about Deathlok's outfit in AOS which looked more like a Laser Tag vest over some black slacks and sweater? But his costume looked crap.

If DD doesn't have a costume at least as good as the Fox one (not that it was so great), then it will really seem like they've cheaped out.

But have you ever seen a really good cheap looking costume on the big screen? I need to see what one would look like.

I think Gladiator would be a good first case for Murdock/Daredevil to handle on the show. Then a great full Melvin could make an improved costume in return.
