I'm a bit surprised at how much I like Tombstone being Big Man. I thought I wasn't going to like it when I read earlier today, but it was exucuted perfectly. Probably my favorite scene in the whole episode. Tombstone b**** slapping Spidey, 'nuff said.:word:
Yeah, though I wasn't mad when I found out Tombstone was the Big Man. However, I have a feeling Tombstone most likely isn't the Big Man.

It would be an interesting plot twist to make Foswell the real Big Man, or maybe Foswell is in cahoots with Tombstone giving him good press to lure the public away from his operations.

I completely agree! I guess we will find out sooner or later.

Yea we dont really know what is going on with the whole tombstone/ foswell big man connection. For all we know tombstone is the front and who everyone thinks is him when it is really foswell. I hope they are just pulling the trick us into think its one but in reality it is the other guy. Which i have been saying in a few posts same as this i dont want to keep seeing characters get merged, it totally can ruin a character if they do it wrong and limits seeing either character again. Take for example montana since he is shocker now whats the likely hood we will see him again as montana only and with his enforcers buddies again.

I'm pretty sure Greg knows what he's doing. God knows he's doing better than Marvel's done with these characters in over twenty years.

Edit: Really cool episode... although I didn't realize Spider-man would get his ass handed so easily to him by Tombstone...

I'm not too familiar with Tombstone in the comics but does he always beat spider-man down like that?

spidey has moved to number two of my all time saturday morning cartoons topped only by JLU. I cannot put into words how good that epsiode was.
seriously raimi could do a lot worse than make the spectacular guys scrip the 4th movie, the pacing, character development and all out action is freaking unreal.

one critisism though, they should have dragged out the big man's secret id a big longer

This episode is just ok, maybe because Rhino doesn't interest me much. But it's great to see the Big Man subplot is moving...and I just love the MJ scene! :D

I'm actually hoping tombstone is a front for the 'true' bigman

I liked Rhino's weakness, it gives something for him to over come and for him be a renewed threat next time he and Spidey face off. No new powers or upgrades, or "A better understanding" of an ability, just some ventilation and he's more of a problem than he was before.

I just don't buy the theory on this board that Foswell is really the Big Man. It's obviously been Tombstone's voice we've been hearing all this time. Hammerhead got pretty touchy when Osborne reffered to him as Mr. Lincoln. And why would Foswell have given Peter ANY info on the Big Man if he were directly involved. Truthfully, I think Foswell was put on this episode (let alone every episode before this one) as a Red Herring to keep us die-hard fans off guard. (I dare any one of you to tell me you saw Tombstone coming before this episode)

Furthermore, source material or not, I just don't see why you guys would want Foswell to be the real Big Man anyways. You guys wanted a descent replacement for Kingpin and I think we got it with this incarnation of Tombstone. The creators of this show are obviously changing things just enough to stay true to the comics and still keep us guessing.

What an excellent episode. Great fight scenes, great voice-acting. I wonder if these guys will ever do an episode i DON'T like...

You know what was really cool? JJJ protecting Peter from the Rhino. Raimi did something similar with Green Goblin in the first Spidey flick, and i appreciated seeing it here. Almost ALL of Jonah's scenes whether they are in comics, movies, or toons involve him being a loud-mouthed, bombastic, stingy, prick, but deep down, he's a man of great character, an i enjoyed seeing that portrayed here...

The introduction of MJ was beautiful. I can't wait to own this series on dvd.

10/10 :spidey:

Another wonderful episode, Rhino certainly rampaged through the city and he put up a good fight for Spider-Man, I like how he was defeated by overheating. And Tombstone was badass, you don't want to mess with this guy. And Mary Jane Watson showing up at the end was a surprise!

Because Tombstone impersonates him round-the-clock.
Hammerhead got pretty touchy when Osborne reffered to him as Mr. Lincoln.
Because Hammerhead thinks Tombstone is the Big Man.
And why would Foswell have given Peter ANY info on the Big Man if he were directly involved.
Because he wants to make Spider-Man an offer he thinks he can't refuse (or failing that, set him up), and he's presumably guessed that Spider-Man and Parker are connected.

Yea i am still going to go with the idea that tombstone isnt really big man but either works for him and is his front for everyone to think it is him. Yea the creators can do what they want with the show but this is not a change really needed since they put foswell character in the show it is a better move actually having him be the character he is. This is a different situation then shocker since they didnt include herman into the show they made it be montana him instead. So hopefully we are just getting a twist for now thinking it is tombstone but really its foswell. So for now we can all speculate that foswell is really big man and all that. I dont want to see characters keep getting merged as i said a few times yesterday it really limits certain characters coming back if they are merged into one darn character. So hopefully there isnt many mergers like montana/shocker in the future. I guess i could live with it if it is for a minor villain like some c or d list guy but i dont want to see any mergers of characters for any other biger named characters.

I'm not a big Rhino fan either, but I though this was one of the best episodes, and I thought Rhino was awesome. I never knew he was that powerful.

My favorite minor villain has always been the Shocker, which is why Market Forces is one of my favorite episodes. But this is beside the point.

I missed it the other day, so I just watched it on youtube.

Another good episode. I liked the Rhino. Peter is such a dork asking Betty to go to the dance; and also - hello Peter is jailbait! Use your head Peter. Mary Jane's dress was nice, but...jeez, Anna let her go out in that thing? Norman continues to be an ass - I love it. He even let Hammerhead yell at Harry.
