But since being a "friend" or "ally" never meant to mean "going along with everything even if you don't agree with it", it's a moot point

HEY! We saved their snail-eating, bidet-wearing asses at the end of WWII, so now they forever belong to US, okay? They're all a bunch of commie traitors!

If I hadn't traded my conscience for a beer, I might care.

But then, I never had a need for my conscience anyway

But there's always place for beer. ;)

;) :D

Wow, that had nothing to do with Iran. But it is funny though that people don't even need a cartoon to make fun of you.

That kid in the cartoon looks familiar...

I remember where I saw him! He was on Hannity and Colmes complaining about his high school teacher.

cass, you're a f***ing troll. All you ever do is tease and taunt like a third grader on a sugar high. I'm pretending that you don't exist from now on.

That's right, I don't exist, but the Reptilians do. :D

Other than saying Iraq is another Vietnam, I'd love to here SoG explain *how* liberals actually come to that conclusion.

I'd also like to understand how the cover up of a girl drowning in Ted Kennedy's submerged car, which he obviously drove into the pond while either drunk or while just driving recklessly, is any less significant than Bush doing a line of coke 20 years before SoG was born.

Double standards anyone?

SoG, that silly little cartoon could easily be manipulated into the whining of a simple democrat also, genius ;).

Iraq, like Vietnam, is a war entirely justified by lies and driven by greed, and we're not going to "win" this one either.

Ted Kennedy never was President, so who cares?

Oooh, you almost got me with your witty conservative wit. ;)

Which lies again?

Oh okay, so Clinton was and Clinton also did drugs. Again, double standards, right?

Point being, a silly cartoon is a silly cartoon and it can go either way with depictions of equally silly democrat positions on issues.

This is very good. I wonder why no one talks about this...:down

I wonder, are there people who think there should NOT be a U.S. embassy in Iraq? If so, why?

And if stuff happens in Iran, they'll build an embassy the size of Delaware. No worries

And by "embassy", they mean a huge freakin' military base from which they can oversee all of the "rogue nations" of the Middle-East.

An embassy is fine (my dad used to live near the old one, less than a block away actually, which was one of the finest places in Baghdad) but a complex? This thing looks, or is described, more like a stronghold compared to an office of a country's diplomatic representation in the capital city of another country.

I want more details before I jump to conclusions. My initial reaction is HOLY SH**!! WHY SO BIG!?

On the other hand, maybe they're going to provide jobs to a few thousand Iraqi citizens. Maybe there's a broader reason for its size. Maybe not. Maybe it's just the U.S. unnecessarily and inappropriately flexing its muscles.

Until I know more, I can't say.

That's fair enough! I just want more info released about the complex...I guess you and I want the same thing actually.

They should just go ahead and call this new "embassy" "New Sumeria".

what about the weapons of mass destruction, or the links with Osama Bin Laden, or the Harbouring terrorists, or the plans to attack the US......
Sad thing is, i'm pretty sure your still thinking they weren't lies.

Oh, you mean the INTELLIGENCE given by the CIA, British Intelligence and other intelligence agencies around the world. I see. Maybe Bush mind-controlled all of those intelligence agencies. I can see how that logic holds water...
