I love my country, but I would not go because I don't believe in this 'war' at all. I'd find some way out of it.

Well, I'm close to the entering drafting age so I suppose I'm qualified to answer, though I don't have a horribly in-depth understanding of politics.

Chances are, I'd probably chicken out. I'm a nationalist, but I'd rather not die in a war that I don't support (as far as my understanding goes) and especially one that I don't understand entirely. Plus, it doesn't seem right that I've worked thus far in life to achieve a "good life" only to be possibly killed under those circumstances.

I'd only go to war under either the conditions: 1. I see no combat or 2. I fully understand/agree with the war.

Chances of a draft are probably low for me, though. Don't know how it'd work in today's age. Last time it was men? I'm female plus I'm literally nearly blind without my glasses.

No.
It's not that "morally suspect" to me.

Do you live in Israel?

If not what right do you have to invade Iran without any attack on their part?

Would you like it if China and Russia invaded your country simply because they had "intelligence" your country was building undisclosed nuclear weapons and felt threatened because your president claimed God spoke to him and mentioned the crusades (as Bush did).

You know what, I'm tired of all this political and conspiracy bulls***.
I'm sticking to what I already said, and nothings going to change it.

I'm from Canada....we don't know the meaning of the word "War" eh.......

Would not go. Do not support the war, and as an Anarchist, I wouldn't go. I'd change my name or take a stand, or some other inconclusive answer...

Considering the job I am already doing for my country I would probably be deemed more of an asset here then in Iran.

But if not. Yes I would go. In a heartbeat.

It's not that I believe the war is right or wrong. Or that one side deserves it or not.

It's that my country and the people who live in it (including those of you who sit and talk about war when you know nothing about it and think that what you see on the TV and internet is anywhere near the truth) would need people to defend what we hold dear. My nephews, my friends and family and the people I love live in America. So I'll be damned if I'm going to look them in the eye and tell them I refuse to defend it.

Are you people worried about Iran? There is a far bigger threat than anything in the Middle East...believe that.

What conspiracy bullsh-t?

Do you think the Vietnam War was worth all the lives ruined and destroyed?

So let's hear your plan then?

Sit with your finger shoved up your butt and your head buried under the ground and hope that the big bad man goes away?

It doesn't matter if the invasion is morally suspect?

The invasion would be morally suspect but respecting the chain of command is not suspect. We have a system and an order of things, and without it, society would break down, so maintaining it is not morally suspect.

It would be like a cop refusing to arrest somebody because he disagrees with the law.

If we invaded today, and congress didn't even authorize it, you know like the military and the Bush administration just went dictator on us, no I would not respect the chain of command.

And whose morals are we basing this on?

You think there is ever going to be anything that 100% of the US agrees on?

It's true what they say, "One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter"

You explained it better than I could. Thanks.

What do you know about the Iranians that us "ignorant tv watchers" don't?

Are they planning to take over the United States?

Don't tell me. It's classified, right? :whatever:
