Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

WB's CEO Kevin Torquemada said they will keep making them regardless and looks like it's true.

It’s all fine though. It’s not going to confuse the general audience in the slightest. I for one can’t wait for the JCM (Joker Cinematic Multiverse) to really get going. Six Joker movies in one year will be awesome! Especially if literally none of them feature Batman, the character without whom The Joker is just a killer clown

Probably general thinking at WB.

Yeah. It did give me a Scary Movie 4 flashback for a second.
If the only way to save Leto Joker is to turn his movie into a straight comedy, then I'm for it.

That camera test teaser is actually pretty effective. Good song, Phoenix looks kinda creepy. I'm more interested in this than a shared universe.

Dude looks more like Pennywise than the Joker, hope the final look is much better.
This is a young Joker and that is the kind of look I'd expect him to be experimenting with in his early days before arriving at his finished product.

Jack won't ever be beaten in terms of the look, IMO

Jack would have looked almost perfect if he did the role about 10 years earlier

By 1989 he was 50 and pudgy.

Phoenix's outfit is almost an inverse of the Nicholson with the teal blue shirt and orange vest instead of the orange shirt and blue vest.

In terms of classic comic accuracy, he’s the best. But that goofy prosthetic mouth is still crap, and Nicholson was too chubby. Ledger is closest to the actual character, obviously.

Some people take issue with Nicholson being fat and old, but I think he looks incredible. Definitely solid number 2. Because number 1 is one of the greatest costume and make up works of all time - Ledger's Joker.

Goofy mouth? The mouth is what makes it! Amazing prosthetic work that still holds up. Yeah, Jack looked a little fat in some scenes but I can overlook that. Great costumes too. His Joker is suit porn. A different combination in every scene.

I don't mind the screen test look. It doesn't need the red nose or even the eyebrows. But especially the red nose. I wonder what the final look will be if this already isnt it.

(assuming this is the final look) If you had told me that a new Joker would have a red nose I would have laughed at you, but for some reason it's not bugging me here.

I'd put Cesar and Jack as the most comic accurate looking Jokers.
