I mean, if he was, he’d probably be exactly where Leto is now.

It’ll be interesting to see how they do that :hmm:

Well I suppose they could use a different actor for the scenes where Joker is a teenager / young man Pre-Joker and then just use Phoenix for the adult Pre-Joker / Joker scenes. Think Superman The Movie, except the f***ed up version of that :o

:funny:
That would work!

I don't care if Spielberg is involved. The idea of having competing Jokers going around is ridiculous and damaging to the brand.

The brand was already damaged. If this is good then WB can figure out how to move forward from there. If it’s bad then WB is pretty much in the same spot they are already in. At this point I would rather they take risks and fail miserably then copy Marvel and fail miserably.

:awesome:

I just don’t get the point of this movie

What happens if Joaquin-Joker blows up even more than Heath? Maybe they would try and get him into the DCEU then?

If they get Phoenix as The Joker, I kind of need Jon Hamm as Batman then.

Imagine getting an incredible joker from this movie.
Imagine that joker being played by Joaquin Phoenix.

And then it really is just a one time thing and we never see him again and we never see him in a movie with Batman.

**** :funny:

I mean we only got Heath Joker once.

I still can't wrap my head around Todd Phillips being involved in this movie, still. Let alone Joaquin Phoenix playing the lead.

Isn't the premise of the film is that it's a crime drama set in the 80s with a pre-chemical Joker? So if Joaquin does get the role, I doubt he will be in make up.
