The Dark Knight Rises The Juno Temple thread

You've all read the articles by now.

Juno Temple is up for the role of a street-smart Gotham teenager. Just like the JGL rumors, there's a lot of speculation. So what's your guess? Is she just some random kid with a bit part, is she Selina Kyle's friend Holly Robinson (a la Year One), or as some far-out rumors have suggested, a Carrie Kelley-inspired Robin?

Your thoughts/guesses/hopes. Go!

She's not going to be Robin. I really wish that rumor would just die.

If Nolan and Bale find a male Robin too unrealistic...

Think about it: Dick Grayson, a kid who grew up, being professionally trained in acrobatics, a kid who is a professional athlete---THIS is unrealistic in the minds of Bale and Nolan...but a girl who is just your regular, everyday, "street smart" teen is realistic?

No. Carrie Kelley was fine in The Dark Knight Returns but they know better than to introduce her into the film mythology before one of the "true" canonical Robins (Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, or even Damian Wayne).

Can't hurt to wonder Harley...

I prefer her as a psychiatrist, but if Joker was to EVER return, I could see her as an Arkham inmate broken loose from the Narrows escape and living on the streets; it's easy to manipulate disabled people, but when that and homeless... they can be transformed.

Holly. Selinas gonna need friends or her sis around her for some screen time. I doubt a girl who looks that young would be associated with anyone else. She looks like a good screen adaptation of Holly.

That'd be kinda cool though. A young Harley. Nobody comes right out and says it, but maybe she introduces herself as Harleen, and they leave it at that. A simple nod that fanboys would appreciate.

Agreed. Like my Harley suggestion, Maggie Kyle would be another nice nod.

Hmmmm. Barbara Gordon Jr. I kinda like that idea. Does it make sense continuity-wise though? How much time has passed within the story itself from Batman Begins to the Dark Knight Rises...presumably? She was a baby in BB. At least 15 years would have to have passed...

Even better. Each movie in this trilogy with the death of a loved one that triggers a character into action. Bruce Wayne's parents death in BB = Batman, Rachel's death in TDK = Two-Face, and "Juno Temple's character"s death in TDKR = Catwoman.

Maybe this is how Bruce/Batman and Selina/Catwoman form a connection with one another. Maybe Batman stops Catwoman from crossing the line that would turn her from crimefighter into vigilante killer (or something like that).

I can see that. Saving Selina where he felt he failed with Harvey.
