Batman 1989.....no, Vicky Vale left Gotham.

Well, to be perfectly honest... he did get her at the end of B89. It wasn't until BR that we found out they didn't work out.

Personally I think it'd be a nice move on Singer's part to make the kid Richard's. Just my opinion.

I'm hoping this is the actual truth.

If the kid is Richards then good, I have always felt that there should be some repercussions for Supes seeing as he has left for 5 years and him not getting Lois in this or any future sequel is ideal.............unless they cop out and Kill Richard White

I really think Richard's job will factor into messing up their relationship. Hes an international reporter and likely is overseas alot. That could be part of the reason why the engagement was postponed for all these years.

It comes as a full quote from the director of the film, in a reputable magazine. I'd say it's safe, wouldn't you?

The buzz about the kid being his and such is the same as how S2 WAS in continuity and now it's not, the script changed during production and those two aspects are out now.

That is funny that you say that because after I read the book, i was thinking the exact same thing.

Nope, B89's my favorite film, seen it more times than I can count. They lean in and kiss while hanging from the speargun's wire. Just before they fade into the zooming shot of the Joker's corpse.

And as Bruce reveals in BR, she left because he had trouble reconciling. The "talk" in the Batcave was too soon for her to reconcile. The use of that word indicates she tried beyond the moment she knew he was Batman. They weren't together long after the film, but they were together at the end of the film nonetheless.

If singer pulls this kinda of crap with Lois & SUPERMAN not ending up together he going to have a bunch of fans breathing down his neck ready to kill him . And I'd gladly join them . If it really turns out Jason is the son of Richard White, They'll be a Death Warnet on Singer's head. He'll be known as The Man Who kill Superman. Just like Schumacher is know as The SOB that tried to kill BATMAN .

actually....I would prefer that the kid is not Superman's and that Supes does not end up with Lois....at least for this movie........

There have to be some "lasting" consequences and repercussions from Supes leaving........

If the kid is his....that makes it easier for him to get back with Lois....so that's less of an emotional challenge........

You just can't accept that you were wrong? Dear Lord... If you've got the DVD, go and look, I provided obvious evidence, combined with the fact that to screen it, I JUST WATCHED the scene and she moves into kiss him. He can't because he can't tilt his head. When you see it in motion, it's gives you the depth perception necessary to see it's not a hug, that she's lining her mouth up with his for a kiss.

Well, as I said earlier, the kid being his and S2 in continuity ended up changing during production, that's the only possible explaination. I don't think Singer's that bad off.

yes.....Nivek....that's true.....

But...wouldn't the kid being Supes be an Obvious twist.....idk....it just seems too obvious and easy........

maybe......there are more than one twists.......like in the movie The Village.....

if I remember correctly....the first twist was that there were no monsters....they were actually created by the village elders to scare people.....but that was the easy twist.....

the big twist was that the movie was not in the 1800s, but actually in the present day.....

maybe we will get something like that in SR....but I doubt it......but then I didn't see Jean Grey's death coming either.........I thought we she was just going to go blind!!!!!!

However, killing of Jean Grey to introduce Dark Phoenix in X3 = great idea!!

Giving Supes a kid = questionable idea........
