you may see her as an 80 something year old woman.
I have a feeling She Might be Korra's Earthbending Teacher.. and we could see some flashbacks :D

Id LOVE if Katara was her Waterbending Teacher too :)

I mean look at Bumi it was a 100 years later and he still was a Badass Earthbender and could move like a Younster lol

I wonder if Sokka is the leader of the SWT? If the plot is only 70 years after the first then a lot of the cast will probably still be alive (albeit very old).

Oldman Sokka would be friggin' hysterical:woot:

So i finally watched the press conference in Mexico City vid. Damn that made my heart sink. But I have to say Jackson Rathbone is a real stand up guy and that made me like him even more. I thought he was great as sokka and just needed more to work with. Probably a lot of scenes cut that we'll never see.

O he definitly "could" have been the comedy sokka if the script allows it... he was pretty funny in ecplise

why would aang's son be an avatar, if aang is still alive then no need for a new one and if he is dead wouldn't it pass to the next in the cycle, the op says he is an airbender, doesn't it?

The box office didn't bomb.... it's already past 100m

Dragonball Evolution only grossed 50m, but then again it only cost 30m

It's going to end up a failure like the first Hulk movie. It will make around $250 million worldwide. But for a movie that cost $150 million to make don't expect a sequel.

Uhh what are you talking about???

Huh?

There might be a new Avatar as nowhere in the description does it say that Aang is still alive.

Just that his son Tenzin who is an airbender will train Korra.

Uhh yeah, that's because Korra IS the avatar.

Ok, If the Avatar state transfers from one nation to the next, and the last Avatar was an Airbender namely Aang, wouldn't the next Avatar come from another nation, say Earth Water or Fire? Strange that it has always went that way then suddenly it stays in the same nation for two Airbender Avatar's. All I'm saying is Aang's son shouldn't be the Avatar, it don't follow the Cycle, or am I missing something? hope that clears up my original question, I rushed it at work and wasn't very clear.

Aang's son isn't the avatar.

The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang – a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra. With three of the four elements under her belt (Earth, Water, and Fire), Korra seeks to master the final element, Air. Her quest leads her to the epicenter of the modern "Avatar" world, Republic City – a metropolis that is fueled by steampunk technology. It is a virtual melting pot where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive. However, Korra discovers that Republic City is plagued by crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip it apart. Under the tutelage of Aang's son, Tenzin, Korra begins her airbending training while dealing with the dangers at large.

Don't any of you remember that episode "The Firelord and Avatar" (I think that was the name of the episode). Anyway it was about Zuko's great-grandfather and Aang's predecessor Roku. Anyway, I was watching the extras for it that was on nicktoons leading up to the movie, and as it said, Aang was born immediately after Roku died. What it also said was that a new Avatar is born immediately after the predecessor dies, leaving a period where there isn't an Avatar.

So yeah Aang died, unfortunately.

That's so sad :(

I'll always remember Aang as a happy go-lucky kid with a big heart.

What about Zuko????????

It is established in the series that bending masters with great chi can live really long. So (having presently read close to nothing about the new series), I think some appearances from our old heroes in their twilight years is not far fetched at all.

I'm sure they will have cameos in one form or another of some of the characters from TLA, but I just hope they don't over do it.
