It's not just about eating though, it's about the workout routine as well, and sleep too. For a woman to get to that size, and maintain it, she has to be consistently eating, working out and sleeping 8-10 hours. The thing is the most highly built women body builders in real life don't maintain that type physique under the best of conditions. For a woman to get that build, that's a very specific diet and routine that one has to do, and that's with ideal conditions.
None of this is out of the question for Abby. She does her physical job, eats as often as possible, works out and sleeps. This is consistent with her environment. We know she has no social life. The most difficult thing would be the food intake, but it's not impossible. All of the above says is that is would be really difficult. And she doesn't maintain it for long anyway. It's not impossible.
The real freaks of nature are those countless burly Scar women with hammers. I wanna know the work-out routine they have going on.
Ask yourself, is it right to let any single person consume the amount of food that Abby consumes? Is it right to devote vital resources to someone so that they can transition to another gender? I say it isnt. Because it isnt necessary for survival, and especially isnt necessary for the survival of the group.
Both of these questions ask what is 'right'. By what standard?
Abby's high protein diet could be at the expense of other survivors. That would be wrong I suppose, though I don't know what the WLF rules are, for either an average joe or someone of Abby's status in the group. I don't know exactly what Abby does for food, whether she relies solely on WLF rations or has found other ways to get supplies. I certainly picked up a lot of food looting as Abby in-game. I do know the WLF keep a lot of dogs which suggests they are pretty well set-up as they're feeding animals too.
There's enough in the game to suggest how her physique was achieved, to me at least. but I'll gladly defer to the experts with better knowledge if there is a tremendous disparity. Ultimately we're talking about someone being too muscular, and I just don't feel a tremendous amount of passion about it one way or another. If she dropped an inch or so from her bicep, nothing changes for me. I don't think I've ever cared about the muscle mass of a character in anything, and I'm not compelled to do so here either.
The second question reads like a JK Rowling tweet. There was never any talk of using 'vital resources' for Lev to exist. The kid just shaved his head. Being trans is not about surgeries or taking medications. I speak as someone pretty ignorant to the trans experience, but assuming Lev is going to be a burden to survival or a special drain on resources for being trans is wrong. It gets really dodgy asking if something is 'right' when conflating being trans with requiring 'vital resources', because the implication is that Lev existing at all in this world is 'wrong'.
