The Last of Us The Last Of Us 2

It's not just about eating though, it's about the workout routine as well, and sleep too. For a woman to get to that size, and maintain it, she has to be consistently eating, working out and sleeping 8-10 hours. The thing is the most highly built women body builders in real life don't maintain that type physique under the best of conditions. For a woman to get that build, that's a very specific diet and routine that one has to do, and that's with ideal conditions.

None of this is out of the question for Abby. She does her physical job, eats as often as possible, works out and sleeps. This is consistent with her environment. We know she has no social life. The most difficult thing would be the food intake, but it's not impossible. All of the above says is that is would be really difficult. And she doesn't maintain it for long anyway. It's not impossible.

The real freaks of nature are those countless burly Scar women with hammers. I wanna know the work-out routine they have going on.

Ask yourself, is it right to let any single person consume the amount of food that Abby consumes? Is it right to devote vital resources to someone so that they can transition to another gender? I say it isnt. Because it isnt necessary for survival, and especially isnt necessary for the survival of the group.

Both of these questions ask what is 'right'. By what standard?

Abby's high protein diet could be at the expense of other survivors. That would be wrong I suppose, though I don't know what the WLF rules are, for either an average joe or someone of Abby's status in the group. I don't know exactly what Abby does for food, whether she relies solely on WLF rations or has found other ways to get supplies. I certainly picked up a lot of food looting as Abby in-game. I do know the WLF keep a lot of dogs which suggests they are pretty well set-up as they're feeding animals too.

There's enough in the game to suggest how her physique was achieved, to me at least. but I'll gladly defer to the experts with better knowledge if there is a tremendous disparity. Ultimately we're talking about someone being too muscular, and I just don't feel a tremendous amount of passion about it one way or another. If she dropped an inch or so from her bicep, nothing changes for me. I don't think I've ever cared about the muscle mass of a character in anything, and I'm not compelled to do so here either.

The second question reads like a JK Rowling tweet. There was never any talk of using 'vital resources' for Lev to exist. The kid just shaved his head. Being trans is not about surgeries or taking medications. I speak as someone pretty ignorant to the trans experience, but assuming Lev is going to be a burden to survival or a special drain on resources for being trans is wrong. It gets really dodgy asking if something is 'right' when conflating being trans with requiring 'vital resources', because the implication is that Lev existing at all in this world is 'wrong'.

I just finished this and WOW. Unbelievable. Is the game a bit too long? Maybe, but goddamn it if every piece isn't worth it given what it's trying to say. When they announced this game I always wondered why but I can see why they did it. I'm relieved this wasn't just the same type of thing for the first game because the first game did that perfectly! Time to take it out of that and advance the story. The themes of revenge, retribution, regret, grief, and guilt is not something I expected, but was intrigued by prior when I saw the trailers and wow does it deliver.

I loved the way game play was utilized for empathy. That word gets thrown around loosely these days, but truly this is how you do it. I loved Abby. It does what you want sequels to do. Expand the world and push the characters further that reveal new things about them. I was very pleased with how Ellie and Joel's development was executed. Again, it's not done in the same way as the last one. It's executed through grief and regret. And it's all on Ellie's shoulders.

I'm not much of a gamer, but as someone who completed the first very recently I was very excited for this. And it didn't disappoint. These games are better than most movies that come out today. Once again, one of the best games I've played. Do I immediately want a third one? Not really, as this ended so satisfyingly, but if they make one, sign me up, I'd be curious to see where this goes. They've earned it.

10/10

Im interested to seeing if Sony does anything else with her soon. Id be open to seeing her backstory fleshed out in a comic

I'm pretty sure that when you first play as Abby in the compund someone says that they have plenty of protein supplements. I *think* there was also a gym.

I think Lev would have been more interesting if

his sister struggled with leaving her mother and connections to the community. maybe have misdirected resentment to Lev

I don't know about the supplements but there's a huge gym in the WLF base. On the Abby part of a New Game+ run now.

I know there's no plans as of yet but I hope there is a Left Behind style DLC focusing on Lev. His life in the Scars and his escape would be interesting. Perhaps inter-cut with an escape attempt at the Rattler base, so it would mirror the time-jumping format of Left Behind too.

Is it me or has the conversation around this game just flat out died already? I know Ghost of Tsushima is out and hogging the limelight but this game just seems to have fallen off the radar ridiculously quickly. The first game had people talking about it for ages, long after it came out.

People still talk about it, but I can see why they wouldn't want to, seeing as how the discussion quickly grows pretty ugly.

Apart from the controversy surrounding the game, a lot of that could have to do with the fact that it was very much a "binge game" in that many people blew through it as quickly as possible in its first few weeks to avoid being spoiled. It's no different than a huge blockbuster being frontloaded on its opening weekend or people binging a popular Netflix show in a day or two when a new season hits. Considering there's no online multiplayer to keep going back to and the depressing storyline and overall length of the game making it less than ideal for a second playthrough right away, I can understand why people aren't dwelling on it.

I also feel like alot of sites did their spoilercasts alot sooner than with the TLOU. Because of the pandemic and not having anywhere else to go Druckmann and the casts were able to crunch out several of those within a week whereas there was a longer tail of post-press that they did for the first game bc of scheduling. Those interviews helped keep the game discussion alive

I'd be curious to see what the sales figures are for TLOS2 and Ghost of Tsushima by years end. I saw one report say TLOS2 dropped a hell of a lot in its second week in Britain, like 80% or something. I'm not as familiar with game sales as I am box office so I don't know how normal that is.

The faster you sell, the larger the dropoff will be. The bulk of this game's sales were the opening it released so thats not out of the ordinary. Uncharted 4 had a similar drop

Interesting it's the same company, lol.

Was Ellie based on Ellen Paige? Similar names, looks and sexual orientation.

I'm not sure if the chatter has died off or not, but I'm still playing the game so cannot complain. Just completed my first ever new game+. Curious about that possible factions mode. I never really played the multiplayer for the first but I hear it was pretty decent and the gameplay in this is so fun I wouldn't mind another excuse to play on.

Never officially. Ellen Page thought they did though, and didn't appreciate it. Ellie's face changed during production of the first game and she looked more like Page to start with.

Not sure if it was ever confirmed, but at some point Ellie resembled her quite a bit (in the first teaser) and there was some controversy regarding that. Especially considering that Ellen Page was doing Beyond: Two Souls game at that time, I think. ND altered Ellie's appearance after that and she already looked different in the second trailer. And they tweaked her even further for the release.

Got the game a couple weeks ago. Played through it twice now and got the Platinum last night. It's not without some significant flaws and I did not love it like the I did the first, though I still admired and enjoyed it.

The premise is great and compelling, the execution of some things could be better and the pacing is wonky. The many great performances though do help it.

The visuals and detail are phenomenal. The gameplay can be too slow at times, but when things pick up it's really good. The physics and sound design are particularly really impressive .

I appreciate what they tried to do with this one, even if it's not all perfect.

I got stupid and spoiled the whole game to myself :( watched a long critique of it

The story is quite disappointing but I'm still more disappointed that I couldn't remain patient and discover the story how ND intended. Anyway, I will buy the game with ps5 and hope that knowing wont ruin the gameplay experience
