Yeah, some of it's pretty brutal. She can certainly take care of herself. It feels like violence will be presented in a really new way for gaming industry. Some of that stuff made me sweat.
Ellie is a total badass, but so ruthless it's a bit scary.
It's not only realistic and graphic nature of it, but these whimpers, agonizing screams, squeals and gurgling sounds when Ellie stabs everyone - ouch. They just humanized enemies a bit and the result is quite... heavy.Yeah, some of it's pretty brutal. She can certainly take care of herself.
Yeah. It's a credit to the creative team but I'm not sure I want to hurt these guys any more lol. They need to make them extra evil to make up for it.It's not only realistic and graphic nature of it, but these whimpers, agonizing screams, squeals and gurgling sounds when Ellie stabs everyone - ouch. This will probably be a stretch... Ellie for some reason reminds me of Kyle Reese from The Terminator. Gray clothes, sportswear, very nimble and efficient. Which is defined by the kind of world they both come from with extreme danger on every corner. One wrong move and you're dead. Seeing Ellie prone, run or evade some melee attack just reminds me of KR diving between bar furniture in Tech Noir, run through smelly LA alleys or crawl through clothes shop evading flashlights of police.
Lawd.
It's not a rumor. Devs talked about it many times. They tried to humanize NPCs as much as possible. So NPCs call each other by name, scream or cry when they see their close ones dead and so on...I think I read a rumor somewhere that every enemy in the game has a name and their own personality. If that's true, that's a whole nother level in gaming.
I love top graphics of natural stuff like this. I hope next gen has a very high dollars-to-snowflake ratio.
you betchaI love top graphics of natural stuff like this. I hope next gen has a very high dollars-to-snowflake ratio.![]()
just coz you seen it before doesn't mean it's still not pretty to look atSnowflakes and water splash... Big whoop, never seen those in games before.![]()
Showing off is good in this respect. Some guy who had a hands-on impression in 2019 said at times he felt ND were just showing off regarding attention to detail. Something stupidly insignificant had too much care.
My thoughts exactly. It's gonna take a lot to impress me after the environments in Red Dead Redemption 2, but then again I'm not playing TLOU2 for the graphics.
Redemption 2 is the most gorgeous, mesmerizing masterpiece I've ever seen in a video game. I am convinced that that is just never going to be topped at least the rest of this generation easily. It is the bar set. It's gonna take a lot to impress me after the environments in Red Dead Redemption 2, but then again I'm not playing TLOU2 for the graphics.
What games do you play for the graphics? It's gonna take a lot to impress me after the environments in Red Dead Redemption 2, but then again I'm not playing TLOU2 for the graphics.
Huh? TLOU2 already looks better than anything I saw from RDR2. Not saying RDR2 looks bad, it looks great. But RDR2 is an open world experience and it just can't have the same attention to detail that ND can do with their game. And it really separates them in quality of presentation.Redemption 2 is the most gorgeous, mesmerizing masterpiece I've ever seen in a video game. You said you didn't play either of the Redemption games. I'm telling you regardless of the fact that it is open world, it is the greatest graphical achievement on a console. It outdid everything before and after it thus far the way I see it. And with everything I've seen for Tlou2, it does not reach RD3's bar even though it's another graphical showpiece.Huh?
