Horror 'The Last of Us' HBO Series

Yeah we're looking at a two season minimum adapting Part II. Having just replayed the game recently I think they can feasibly do it in two but if they wanted to stretch it across three seasons I wouldn't complain either.

Just don’t rush game 2. Nobody wants to see that game crammed into 8 episodes.I recently played the two games back to back. The second game is three times as long as the first. It’s basically two games in one. I love God of War, Batman games and Red Dead Redemption but gotta say the last of us follow up is the best sequel game ever made.

I honestly think and have said in here I think the 2nd game could make for 3 seasons. The flashbacks alone could be a season.

But why do you want to change the structure so massively then? Is the structure of the game not a big, big part of its brilliance?

I just remember how the reviewers turned on the game and even refused to finish the game. Some gave it bad reviews because they didn’t like what happened or they didn’t want to play as Abby. You don’t think they changed the structure for season 1? To me they already did.

They already confirmed Part 2 is going to be split into multiple seasons, so as of now, I don't think we should worry about them rushing anything.
Wasn’t there a rumor that the show might be only couple of seasons. Maybe it was because of the writers strike but I remember the game guys changing their tune about upcoming seasons.

Uh, no, don't think that's the case. Pretty sure the plan of splitting Part 2 into multiple seasons is still in place despite the strike.

Ronda Rousey must be eagerly awaiting the call.

Some "fans" turned on the game, refusing to play as Abby, hilariously missing the point of the actual game. Critics didn't.

And they changed the structure of season 1 slightly, yes, but nothing as drastic as what you're proposing with season 2. But I guess we'll see.

I actually liked Abby’s story line. I just want fans to give her a chance. Abby was a good character with a great storyline. What she did for Liv was inspirational. Plus who didn’t enjoy playing as “Punisher” Abby during the game.

Oh, I think it's absolutely amazing. My big problem is that the structure is such an integral part (for me) of why it works. Being forced to sympathize with someone you didn't want to, slowly discovering her character, etc.

Yeah I've replayed the game a few times now and I honestly think Abby gets the best and most interesting part of the game.
Can't really argue there.
Seraphite island is probably the best part of the game.

I have to say I really appreciated TLOU 2 a lot more after a replay. It's all so much easier to digest when you know what happens going in.

Watch Angry Joe’s game review. He does a skit that makes fun of the fact that Abby gets all the cool weapons. Absolutely hilarious.

Maybe I am not giving the general audience any credit. This strike can’t end soon enough.

I enjoyed the basement of the Wolves hospital with both Abby and Elle. Absolutely terrifying. So looking forward to those scenes in live action.

If rumors are true that production starts in early 2024, Abbey should be cast by the end of the year.

Let's wait to see if the SAG-AFTRA strike ends first.

I saw a rumor a while back saying she was already cast but nothing would be announced until after the strike ends.

Let’s get this strike over with. I have a bad feeling about this final offer stuff.
