Horror 'The Last of Us' HBO Series

Good. Some great parts in the game involve the spore sections and I would hate to lose that. Especially with Ellie in the 2nd game.

Yeah I hope they introduce the spores in season 2. They could explain that the infection has evolved and it creates another problem to worry about for the characters.

Man...cold open for episode 2 was awesome.

Also, it's been a long time since I played TLOU. But...spores aren't in this series? I thought that's how the whole thing started. They removed it?

Just as great as the first episode. Ellie and Tess really had time to shine here and the clickers are just as terrifying as in the game. They adapted them perfectly.

Tess's sacrifice was an improvement over the game. In the game she takes out a few soldiers to buy Joel and Ellie some time but having her take out a horde of infected and saving their lives was just more powerful.

Hmm, the new episode isn’t available for me yet.

I really am loving these cold openings for these episodes so far and this one was by far the best yet. Super eerie and atmospheric which pretty much set the tone for the episode perfectly.

The stuff with clickers was pretty tense and they have such a great, unique, unnerving creature design which is at least a lot different from most of the zombie/infected shows out there.

I also didn't think they would kill off the Tess this early, but man I'm definitely going to miss that character Anna Torv did a great job in the role despite the limited amount of time we spent with her.

The tendrils were such a great contribution to the show, definitely lends itself better to the live action format than spores would, I think. Everything they’ve added/changed for the show has been well thought out and easily plugged in. It’s nice to see changes that actually work for the better, and not just change for the sake of change.

I do have to say that the make up on the fungus people is fantastic. Like Walking Dead good.
Totally, they're also being so creative with the fungal aspect that it really is helping the show avoid feeling like just another zombie show which was probably the biggest pitfall they had to avoid.

This episode overall looked pretty amazing IMO and I thought the first episode looked really cinematic, but kudos to everyone who worked on the production/set design in this show.

The hotel/museum set pieces were gorgeous and I'm glad they try to use as many practical effects as possible when it comes to the environments as well as the make-up effects.

Yeah, another very impressive open that adds a lot to the mood and background of the show. Good to see what is happening elsewhere.

They’ve been designed very well. It differentiates the show well from standard zombie fare.
