The Last of Us has Multiplayer? =/ I guess it's ok if it's optional co-op.

Just saw a new commercial on TV, can't wait!

First review is from empireonline - 5/5
"The Last of Us is not just the finest game that Naughty Dog has yet crafted and an easy contender for the best game of this console generation, it may also prove to be gaming’s Citizen Kane moment – a masterpiece that will be looked back upon favourably for decades."

It's on my XMB. I'll play it when it gets dark round here.

Hellz yeah!
I'm not expecting bad reviews from this game, but to say that it is gaming's Citizen Kane moment is awesome.

Oh lord. They busted out the "it's the Citizen Kane of gaming" line. Ridiculous.

I was literally about to post how much I hate that term. Like the industry is waiting for the one game for everyone to go "This is the game! THIS IS THE GAME!"

Citizen Kane or not. All I'm expecting is a mighty fine game and Naughty Dog doesn't seem to disappoint.

It's a great tease of demo, I'll say that. It's about 10 minutes of walking and then a small scuffle at the end that lets you play around with all the mechanics.

I really love the contextual stuff - close quarter fights work pretty much exactly like they did in the E3 demo. If you're near a wall Joel will push an enemy into it and slam his fist against their face until they're down, but he might have his back pushed up against that wall a second later. Plus the bricks and bottles that litter the floor give a great sense of dirty, desperate fighting to the proceedings.

Elsewhere, it just kinda seems to be a bit like the Tomb Raider reboot. You collect parts to upgrade weapons and find skill points to improve survival skills. The difference being any inventory stuff is done in real time as Joel looks through his backpack. Hope it manages to separate itself from what's already come this year in that regard.

Really loved the demo, spent a good amount of time just walking around and getting a feel for the setting. Loved the little subtle animations, Naughty Dog are great at that.

That action itself was good, not used to that sort of sparse weapon system, so it made me think more about how I would navigate around and tackle the problems.

Recently, we had a chance to speak with The Last of Us lead multiplayer designer Erin Daly about the game's unique approach to multiplayer. Also, Sony sent us some new multiplayer screenshots.

Man Edge gave it a 10/10. They are usually very very rough on games too. In their 20 years they've only given 15 perfect marks apparently. And this is one of them. Can't wait to play.

Yeah, my jaw hit the floor when I heard that news. Edge are indeed harsh but they're one of my favorite review outlets. This is really good news.

I'm sooooooo glad that the MP they are adding to the game will be more than trashy deathmatch that every other game recycles.

Really?

That's impressive, actually.

Good to know. Maybe the Citizen Kane thing holds up, this time.
