I'm still debating whether or not I'll try to rent this now from Gamefly, or wait another couple of months since I'll also try to get Splinter Cell and Saint's Row 4. I don't want to buy it, but all of these reviews are making me feel like I'd be missing out on a lot by August, since there will be plenty of spoilers out by then.

as of this morning, it has a Metacritic score of 96 after 58 reviews, all of which are positive, half of which are perfect 10s. There are 3 in the 8s, 1 7.5 and the rest in the 9s. Its ties for best reviewed PS3 exclusive so far (with Uncharted 2) and 3rd best exclusive of this gen (after Mario Galaxy 1 and 2). Of course theres still more reviews to come out which ca drop it down, but its doing great so far.

For a new IP, I REALLY hope it sells well, especially with Naughty Dog's name attached to it and all the early praise. Unfortunately Sony exclusives dont nearly do as well as they should and Sony isnt the best at marketing their titles.

I'm a big fan of Polygon, used to read Kotaku but it's far too anime for my liking now, IGN I don't mind but some of the on camera people annoy me.

I can see where there reviewer is coming from as some gameplay mechanics of a game can take you out of it, but overall that isn't a biggie if the story and characters are good. I hated most of the combat in Deus Ex but overall loved the game thanks to the story and characters.

About 75% in and, yeah, this game is absolutely phenomenal. It's not an explosion of intensity like the Uncharted series, rather a slow burn of survival and human drama. I've never played anything quite like it when it comes to its characters and story.

This is probably a stupid question...but with the PS4's ability to "stream" games...up to and including PS3 games.. I suppose that would make this title available to purchase and play on my PS4 via streaming? I'm not buying another PS3 just for this game (stupid YOLD)...but I really, really want to play it...and imagine that would be the only way possible.

What is this Imhearing about single player extended DLC being available on release day but ONLY through the season pass? Is that true? Bad move Sony and Naughty Dog if that's the case. Im not upset about the DLC existing but making it exclusive to the season pass even for any length of time is not a good idea bc I would buy and would want to experience with the game as I play it and not weeks down the line if it is available this soon. That sounds like some BS to push people into spending $20 on the season pass when the rest will be multiplayer fluff that many may not care for

ETA: Scratch that. I just got further clarification that the day one DLC amounts to stat boosting and the story campaign stuff will come later. (and not be only tied to the season pass)
