Just finished it... Didn't know that a video game could be such an incredibly emotional experience. I'm floored – don't play as much video games as I used to, but this easily goes into my top ten favorites ever. Maybe even as number one.

Music, graphics, story and characters are all fantastic – and all together soul-stirring and thought-provoking. And nothing of it distracts from the intensely visceral, immersive and thrilling gameplay.

This game might just have reinvigorated my gaming enthusiasm.

I just finished it, I've been staying away from this thread.....I agree with everything said above except this is the greatest game I've ever played. No question . Amazing characters, game play and just as good graphically as the ps4 ( for now) . I missed a few things so I'm going to run back through it

Gather your molotovs and modems, because according to a Naughty Dog tweet, The Last of Us patch 1.06 goes live tonight at 10 p.m. Pacific. The update is required for anyone wanting to play the game's story DLC, Left Behind, which comes out tomorrow.

Patch 1.06 also tweaks much of the game's multiplayer, fixing spawn locations, lag issues, weapon balance and more. You can read the full list of notes on the official site. About the only thing it won't fix is your heart - Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic universe is a bit short on warm, fuzzy feelings.

they told most of the gamer media there won't be any more after this one. it's a page over. but they are looking into another ether another new ip or a possible sequel. that one I didn't put up on here, though they might not use the same characters if the latter happens.

That's not really what it's about at all though. You really should give it a try, as you learn a lot more about ellie including quite a shocking thing.

The Last of Us generally is very immersive but there's one point where you [BLACKOUT]take a picture and the computer screen [/BLACKOUT]asks you if you want to post it to Facebook. Ugh! Why did they have to put that in there. Completely felt out of place. Im already not a fan of FB being shoehorned into games, but Ive never seen it as blatant as was here.

When has ND ever been that straight foward? I went into this expecting it to just be a story about Ellie and her friend leading up to her appearance in the main game but its more than that. It actually [BLACKOUT]fills in one of the gaps in time in Joel and Ellie's adventure[/BLACKOUT] and I did not see that coming. Very clever design and quite effective from the bits Ive played so far

Also I believe she had never previously killed a man nor actually fired a real rifle prior to meeting up with Joel.

I hope they are not just planning to fully retcon that just so they can release a DLC?

I just beat it on Hard. Got 12 out of 14 collectibles and it took me 2:58 to complete. I do think it was a bit on the expensive side, but it was well done. A bit slow in the beginning but it picks up towards the end. Well done ND. Would be cool if there was an option to splice this into the main game. That would make for a complete run of the adventure

dont judge it before playing it. None of that is retconned in the DLC

Really your guys loses and you're being a bit judgmental, I've only begun playing but it's pretty awesome. Sucks for you guys then if you don't wanna play. But you're missing out on some great stuff as is to be expected with ND and Last of Us in general.

its more then just playing as Ellie prior to meeting joel, it goes back and forth between that AND you playing ass Ellie right after Joel fell and hurt himself. You play as her during that time when she was taking care of him, nursing him back to health.

Really a no brainer to buy this dlc I don't get the "I'm not sold" or hesitation or "I don't need to see it any further" like I said sucks for you guys then.

Chose to watch the new part be played on youtube. Beautifully done, really not what I was expecting. I tell you what, the stars were aligned with this DLC being released and incredibly recent current events....

I really enjoyed Left Behind. It's actually two experiences melded into one (I won't spoil anything for those who haven't played it) and I was very pleased about that. The price is a bit steep but the journey; however small it may be, is well worth it.

Has anyone tried using the PS4 pad with tbis game? Does the six axis feature work, like for recharging ur flash light? My sis is playing the game and the controller works great but the six axis doesn't seem to function

DS4 does not have any dualshock or SIXASIS functionality with the PS3. It has only basic limited functionality when it comes to pressing buttons. All that extra stuff wont work
