Wolverine was bad -- really bad. I was disappointed when I left the theater and it's getting worse in my mind.

As much drubbing as X-Men 3 got from the critics and fans, it had an epic scope and the action scenes were pretty exciting. The script needed a lot of work, but it worked in comparison to the pile of s*** the actors got for Wolverine (which had a few moments but not enough to save it).

So I liked X-Men 3 than Wolverine -- shoot me.

And its hard to beleive this was the MOST expensive movie of all 4? really...what did they spend it on? Most of paid Hugh 50 million I guess?

I don't think Wolverine cost more than X3 because there aren't nearly as many visual effects shots. (X3 cost close to or over $200 million to produce.)

Variety said that Wolverine cost $130 million, when Australian tax credits are applied. A sizeable budget like that should've been used on the CGI or practical effects more.

Or on better writers...

However I voted Wolverine because after I saw it, I didn't want to murder someone like I did after I saw X3. The only reason I didn't murder someone was because too many good characters had already been killed.

i called Agent Zero "Asian Dude whose power is that He's Really Really Good At Shooting".

But at least in X2 while he was off screen Jean was telling Logan she loved Scott more than she loved him, Logan even said to Scott at the end of X2 ".....She did make a choice, it was you." In X3, he was just forgotten about by everyone.

Wolverine: "I think she killed Scott."

Xavier: "Look what happened to Scott. You killed the man you loved because you couldn't control it."

Wolverine: "We lost Scott. We lost the Professor..."

I hate the "direction" they took with Cyclops just as much as anyone, but no, he was not forgotten about.

To answer the question, by far, X-Men: The Last Stand.

X-Men 3 is not a bad movie. Not in the least bit. It's probably my favorite X-Men movie.

Singer's movies were great, and X-Men 2 is definitely better than the first. Singer's movies were great for showing us who these characters were. But what they were weak on was showing us what these characters were capable of.

X-Men 3 was the X-Men in action. All the development was done in the 1st 2 films, so while this movie would have benefited from a little bit more character focus (particularly Jean and Angel), we've already had 2 movies where we learned about these characters, their motives, their relationships, etc...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine just doesn't measure up. The characters aren't as good (no, it's not because they were poorly developed. It's because Kayla Silverfox can't hold a candle to Jean Grey. William Stryker is no Magneto - although Stryker is a good villian. Agent Zero, John Wraith, they are no Mystique, or Beast. I just really don't feel the same attachment to these characters as I do the X-Men characters.)

The story in X-Men 3 is more powerful to me, more epic, more emotionally charged. The characters in X-Men 3 are more beloved (my hype for X-Men Origins: Wolverine wouldn't be nearly as much if it weren't for Gambit, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Xavier...) than those in Wolverine.

I think the ONLY thing that Wolverine has on X-Men 3 are the individual fight scenes. The Logan vs. Creed fights in this film (all 3 of 'em), Logan vs. Gambit, Zero and the helicopter vs. Logan, these are the best fights in the entire series as far as I'm concerned. Wolverine vs. Sabretooth, Wolverine vs. Mystique (X-Men), Wolverine vs. Lady Deathstrike, those fights were way too overly choreographed and unrealistic in my view. Wolverine didn't really have a 1v1 battle in X-Men 3, though the fight sequence in Jean's house, and Wolverine's rumble in the woods are both badass (same with Wolverine's rage in the mansion in X2), but Wolverine vs. regenerating arm dude was really cheesy.

Overall, X-Men 3 is just clearly the better movie in my book. I still think that it's probably the best of the entire series. The action and epic story sequences in X-Men 3 build off of the development and depth of X-Men and X2 to finally showcase the capabilities of these characters in epic, emotional fashion.

I still find it really stupid how Wolverine was the one who mourned Scott the most. And that is simply by caring what happened to him at all.

yeah, how Logan still kept Scott's bike as his own. I wouldn't be suprised if Logan went through Scott's closet for new clothes. Why not, since he's in love with Jean and was the one who 'saved' her.

or how Professor X made that speech to Storm that he feels like she's the true leader of the team.

I don't believe that to be true at all.

What happened to Scott was actually the catalyst for the entire Phoenix portion of the film.

What happened to Scott is what drove Jean mad, it's what made Jean want to die, it's what made her feel like she no longer had a home, both physically and emotionally, within herself.

At the end, when Jean finally allows herself to be killed, it's not because of Logan. It's not because of Logan loving Jean. It's because she killed Scott, and she cannot live with herself knowing what she did. She's wanted to die since she killed him, and Logan was the one with the ability to do it. But it was Scott, and Jean's love for him, that motivated her, and what she struggled with.

That's why I'm okay with what happened in the movie version of the Phoenix Saga - it did keep consistent with the spirit of the storyline (which I find to be Cyclops and Jean Grey's relationship and love), even if it did it in a very roundabout, sick and twisted way.

No, it's definitely not how I -wanted- it to happen, but aside from details (albeit some rather large details) it all ends up about the same in the end anyways. It gets the same point across.

What happened to Scott is what drove Jean mad? Then why did Phoenix kill him? Phoenix was down the deep end as soon as she appeared. X3 was not about Scott and Jean's love at all. Scott was just an obstacle, and Jean's upset could be boiled down to upset over being a serial killer period.

Phoenix was a completely different personality than Jean Grey. Jean was schizo, literally. There was the Jean Grey that we knew, and then there was Phoenix, which was the instinctual, primal animal.

Phoenix killed Scott because Phoenix was violent and filled with hatred.

Jean went mad because of what she essentially did, even if it wasn't her doing it intentionally, it was her lack of control over her powers, and her emotions / primal urges that killed the man she loved.

The death of Scott drove Jean -mad-, not drove Jean to become Phoenix.

Exactly. Jean is already mad, so to speak. Xavier is the catalyst for Phoenix's creation and the Liberty Island incident, I suppose, is what breaks down Xavier's psychic barriers, releasing the beast. The fact that Phoenix is a pre-existing being described as pure rage prior to Jean's realization of Scott's demise, is a good indicator that she is already beyond troubled.

If Jean went mad after killing Scott then I certainly couldn't tell the difference.

I think its debatable as to whether or not Jean went mad after killing Scott, but I don't believe Cyclops' death is responsible for the Phoenix portion of the film. That is, Jean's alleged madness after she is made aware of Cyclops' death may be responsible for her wanting to die, but it isn't responsible for the birth of Phoenix and the subsequent madness that ensues, as that is a chain of events set in motion long ago.

X3 is like "Gone With the Wind" if you're comparing it to XO:W cr@pfest.

Can't really compare the jumbled mess of the Last Stand to something that probably wasn't thought out too clearly, but the final product you came out thinking "this was okay".Not like Iron Man's Origin but better than Daredevil's and Electra.

I voted They Equally Sucked!, but X3 made me rage while Wolverine was just "lols this is bad". I didn't like either so...

Wolverine was way better. Wolverine was actually enjoyable for me. I had only two issues with it really: the thing with Deadpool, but I don't care that much cause they can always bring him back and once his head was severed he couldn't use his other powers 'cept healing or something. The other problem being no berseker rage in the Weapon X scene. We sort of got it when he first came up and started killing a few people but it wasn't like in the comics. The whole movie in general, Wolverine never got blood on his claws but he hasn't in any of the movies. X-Men: TLS was just crap all around.

Hehehehehe, I'm glad Wolverine is winning at this point (61), against the Lat stand (33) and "they both sucked" (18). The movie wasn't perfect, all right, but come on, it wasn't that bad. And Gambit was in it, so yay!

I haven't seen Wolverine yet but I know it's better then X3. Halle Berry ruined that movie almost as much as Ratner did. She shouldn't even have been in there after all the talking she did about how she was done with comic book movies and bla bla bla bla. Everytime I saw her in X3 I wanted to give her a beating worse then David Justice used to.
