Kreuk has a wide enough @$$ to be Chun Li from Street Fighter 3. That's about the best thing that can be said about her in the role I'm afraid. :o

Could be worse...could have Sienna Miller playing the army chick. But she's doing GI Joe, so you gotta deal with that. Handle that though...

So there's nothing to complain about. Just fall back and take another bad video game movies like a inmate takes a prison rape...(pause)

O.o... I havn't complained once. :oldrazz: I'll start complaining if we ever get a decent videogame film, game films take off, people start making amazing game films and THEN we get a bad game film....

I mean seriously, how long did it take until Comic fans got the RIGHT to complain? Up until recently they all sucked as well. :oldrazz:

2) That Zang Ziyh chick is only known for those roles but this is probably some direct to dvd thing, I dont think she would do it on that merit. Plus she's redundant know when she comes to these roles. What was her last movie? She wasnt in Memoirs of Geisha right? I'm thinking someone else maybe.

That was her, yeah. She hasn't done a martial arts flick in forever though.

People complaining about how she should have been cast in this movie is stupid. Why would she want to be in it? As a person who likes Kristin Kreuk and would like to see her carve out at least a half decent career, I dont really want her in this.

In the slight chance that this movie might have a decent script (and with Marks getting some good reviews for his Voltron script) what's wrong with asking for a decent cast? I wouldn't mind seeing at least one damn decent video game based movie. I don't think that's too much to ask for. There are some great properties out there...and though Street Fighter may not have the deepest story to go off of...it could be a start.

So I don't think its "stupid" to want a decent actress for the role...it just may not be realistic.

I watch Smallville religiously but I was never a big fan of KK.

But now that she's been cast as Chun-li, I'm actually fine with it. At least they got a mid 20's, somewhat Asian, attractive actress for the role, which is what I wanted from the start.

Yeah, I know KK is pretty skinny of Smallville, but I'm pretty sure that's because she doesn't do any weight lifiting. With the training they'll give her for the movie, I have no doubt she'll be able to get her thighs to whatever size the director wants. I'm actually looking forward to it because I've always thought KK had a lot of potential body wise that she ignored.

I just hope all the other fighters cast fit the bill.

Because maybe no decent actress wants to be in it maybe? Who the **** do you know who wants to be in a Street Fighter film? I still dont believe babygirl Kreuk is doing this lol:huh: :woot:
Its like that shytty Justice League film. Decent script appearntly, still pretty hard to get a decent bunch of actors to play the role.....because its a Justice League film. And people dont see thinks like the fanboys when it comes to these propeties.

Having said all that much like I hope another favourite TV actor of mine Adam Brody does ok with the Flash in JLA, I hope Kristin does ok with this. She's a learning actress and while this is hardly ciriculm learn by experience filmography, if the actor looks like there at least having fun it'll be worth a download.

But to answer your question: No one wants any part of it. So the youngins in TV get chained in.

I haven't been keeping up with this movie, but it can't be any worse than the first one... at least, I hope not.

Postive thoughts and Lana has improved a lot this season comparativley, so hey decent script= decent turn? Who knows?

Remember, they had Kylie Minogue as the army chick (forgot her name, aint played a Street Fighter game since the mid 90's, didnt even mess with the PS run)

Actually there were two quite "decent" actors in the first Street Fighter movie. Raul Julia and Ming Na were both decent actors in their own rights. But if a crap movie like Fantastic Four can make some decent cash out of a crap film and mediocre cast and a piss poor director...nothing can suprise me anymore.

90's.....

You know Blockbusters in that decade have aged badly but you can see why they would be in those movies. Street Fighter was a big game and they thought they could make a franchise out of it. Money Talked. Peole have since learned from these franchises.
But we dont know anything about this version yet. Will they try to make it light or dark? Will it be loosley based? Will it be Street Fighter in name only? It hardly matters, Kristin gets praise and criticism for her run on Smallville , so I dont think its gonna dramamtically shift the paradigm of this genre of films. Its hardly Keanu in Much Ado About Nothing, you get me?

Hopefully it will be in the same style that Justin Marks wrote Voltron. He did that in a darker, post apocalyptic setting...and I feel that an updated Street Fighter movie will need that dark edge to succeed where the previous incarnation was a goofy cartoon come to life.

But that being said, wouldn't you want to see KK break out of the Smallville mode and move into where Tom Welling hasn't really succeeded too well...that being major motion pictures?

Is this film definitely being made?

Sure, but when I envision her doing that, I dont think of a Street Fighter movie directed by the dude who milked the Matrix's wire work for all its worth throughout his whole resume.

I pretty much hold this film in the same circle as George Miller's Justice League film and the Christian Bale/McG Terminator Franchise: "Isnt someone suppose to step in and deny this rumour already and save the people who I like it from it? Oh wait? your not? Damn that's funny....lets see how this hot mess plays out"

Yeah, that whole Christian Bale thing throws me for a loop. It boggles me that he would even touch something with McG's name attached to it. But oh well, maybe he sees something we don't.

I'd rather see her in something different like this than some crap teeny bop comedy/chick flick that will be forever forgotten once its been out on dvd for single week.

I think if she allowed herself to loosen up (she's a bit of an introvert, bless her. Which kinda is whats appealing about her at the same time) but after seeing her cameo in Euro Trip, I would love to see her doing what Isla Fisher is currently doing with Frat Pack boys in those series of comedies.

I think she can do it, and with a strong supporting cast of comedians, she wont neccessairly be singled out but rather placed as complimentarty character to the rest of the crew. That or a Veronica Mars sharply written vehicle of sorts which seems pretain more to her as a person rather than what her characters have been. But who knows, at the end of the day when your type cast your type cast. As a black dude I see that happen with many talented black dudes when there in mainstream films (Omar Epps, Mehki Phifer, Keith David, Taye Diggs), they've never had that mainstream vehicle that reflects how well they do in african-american cinema. But thats another story and moving past the point. I digress..

Does everyone really know the rep McG has in the fanboy community? The mainstream really don't care.

McG's pretty much established himself in the TV, Video Music and Film World. He's really gonna have to shake a precieved rep.

Well the guy Executive Produces Supernatural, which is the best show on television right now imo so I forgive him for Charlie's Angels. Maybe he'll do a decent job with Terminator.

He Executive Produced the OC right? Did he Executive Produce Chuck with Josh Schawrtz as well? ( or whatever that dude's name is. I know he worked on that). Chuck has its moments of brilliance this season.

Supernatural the best show on television? That's a bit of a stretch...I do enjoy it though.

Hey, there are no other shows I enjoy more on the air right now. We had Arrested Development but that's gone as well as Firefly. Only show I enjoy and look forward to as much is Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
