The movie is live action and either zhang ziyi or the girl from tokyo drift will star.

They should base it on Blanka. That's the only way I'll be seeing this movie.

 As long as they get the right actor and give him good lines.

Which one? There were alot of girls in Tokyo Drift.

The main girl wasn't even Asian, so it couldn't possibly be her.

Zhang Ziyi would be perfect for her.

Doesnt Chun Li speak fluent english? Zhang Ziyi is good but I've never heard her speak english.

Im talking about the lead half japanese half australian natalie kelley. They were talking about this on the model minority fourms. And since when has hollywood cared about matching asian ethnicities does memoirs of a gesisha ring any bells.

Because Chun-Li and Guile have always been the two in the story that are trying to take out M. Bison. Ryu and Ken just get mixed up in it along the way.

They should just take the script for the animated movie and turn that into the live action version.

so? Akuma's ten times the villain Bison is...

Well I always thought Chun Li was pretty hot.

So I can't say I'm at all disappointed in this news. Sounds interesting to say the least.

animated = DTV pile of garbage.

Live Action = ...Well...probably the same or a good B movie. Oh and porbably a theater release.

Seriously, hope it is live action and is good.

Impossible. I love street fighter, always did, always will. And the animated movie was pretty damn fun, even if super corny. But it was made by Japanese, you know, the people who created the game ? ;)

This will be made by Hollywood, which mean by people who don't give a **** and are already changing the main story (Chun Li ??? Haven't they learn ? Wait, what am I saying, of course they haven't learn)

I never even though Street fighter could possibly get another try on the big screen. This is the first hope we get, and it sounds bad. I mean, BAD. :csad:

I'm sure Capcom's Japanese HQ will have to give script approval. They were very strict about that on their previous films. Of course, that also means they approved the script of the first one... so their input doesn't really mean crap. :whatever:

I just hope it isn't Devon Aoki if it's live action...ugh.

Let us hope this new movie give us a special edition of the first movie, with, if we're lucky, a commentary by Mr. Van Damne himself.

How cool would that be ??

Um, well. At least it could be entertaining in it's own funny way, heh. :oldrazz:

The existing special edition and commentary is already pretty amusing - gotta love DeSouza's admission that he wrote the script literally overnight.
