Kikouken!

so are they going to cast Tom Welling as Ken so we can get a lame love story that should not exist.

on a side note in the sequel or spinoff that has ken and ryu I hope we get to see Akuma.

There's no denying that Kristin is pretty thin right now. But aren't most young actresses? She has beautiful muscle definition and I'm sure she'll have no problem buffing up a bit for this role (if this actually happens). But let's get real, to find an actress with comical dimensions and freakishly big thighs would be silly.

This Arena shoot was a few years ago when she had a bit more meat on her bones. See? She does have thighs, just not grossly deformed ones. :)

Of course it's going to happen. Girls that are built like Kristin should have no problem building up muscle, at all. At her height, she could change her body drastically in just one month. And because female bone and muscle density aren't as high as men(meaning a flabby guy could probably lift the same amount of weight as a muscular woman of the same size), the effects from lifting weights show quickly.

I'm pretty sure those in charge are aware that Chun-li's physique is a very important part of the character. They won't screw that up.

I hope we get a shower scene followed by a vicious assault from some guy who appears to be vega...but more emphasis on the shower scene.

Sumbody Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Wow she has chun Li's butt. Nice.

I remember pausing this episode the first time it aired so that I could check out her butt! :woot:

She had a little more meat on her bones back then.

She should at least be around Jessica Biel's size in Blade: Trinity.

Also, Chun Li is my favorite character in Street Fighter, and I felt her character was short changed in the Van Damme film.
Er they all were, especially those that were on screen the longest :(

The Smallville Scriptwriters Cant Write Worth a Damn

Fixed for accuracy....

lol, I didnt realise thunder thighs were such an issue. Who cares? This movie wont be faithful to Street Fighter's original gaming series

And let me repeat for emphasis....Nor should it have to!

Theres a reason why video game movies arent as successful as comic book movies quality wise: No Depth. Even if you look at the source of the material, the finest of games come from cliched movies and tv shows at best. This movie will be eaten alive by critics and online nerds. That is a forgon conclusion so why are we wasting our time with that. I would have prefered a low key smart comedy for Kristin to break into but oh well....But again my point is, Video Game movies are always doomed so why complain over this? I would have probably cast Natassia Malthe myself but again she probably has filled her quota of crappy Video game based movies (Bloodrayne 2, DOA).

At the very least we will get some intrest banter and classic idiocracy from children like shapshifter over there.

If Kristin gets to work out and has a stunning bod after this, on some extremley shallow level thats cool. And if old Andrejz can knock out a watchable script, even better. But I dont make unrealistic wishes and neither will happen.

Still its better than Jessica Alba as Sue Storm I guess.....sigh...stay strong Kristin, if you think the Superman Nerds and Welling Fangirls hate you now, wait till you see these gaming nerds:woot: ( I still stand by my statement that being a Street Fighter fanboy is corny though. You need that Tekken and Mortal Kombat swag)

I'll love ya anyways:csad:

Talk about self-fulfilling prophecy, lol. If the source material lacks depth, then you add depth. Not shortchange yourself and practically welcome mediocrity.

Most producers and directors will use any depth that's already there when making an adaption. I dont know why they wouldnt take the initative but my guess is they feel the story is already nicely packaged for them, dudes are lazy like that. Its pointless anyway to me, cause I can honestly say apart from Mortal Kombat I never saw the appeal in making a video game movie. The stories and characters work in video games.

**** it, the sooner Kristin comes out and denies this, the happier everyone will be.

Not if the director is called, Sam Raimi. He pretty much butchered spider-man, despite having a multitude of in depth source material at his disposal.

Raimi's Spiderman movies were pretty successful, quality wise (at least the first two) so I disagree with that. When you look at comic book movies, his treatment of Spiderman is generally viewed as a success.

The only good thing about that Street Fighter movie was the soundtrack. A suprisingly good soundtrack that didnt fit the movie at all, but was good. Í'm home for the holidays and I need to look for my cassette of it that I got lying somewhere in the attic in one of my boxes

but until then....heres one of the tracks:

Now that I've had a chance to sleep on it, I realize that there are far worse things that could have happened than Kristen Kreuk being cast as Chun Li. I suppose I'll have to wait a while before I can decide if I can really buy her as playing a Chinese woman, but hey, there are probably plenty of other actresses in the world who I like far less than Kristen. I actually liked her quite a bit back when Smallville was my guilty pleasure, so I guess I'll give her a chance.

However, this movie is going to live and die by it's script and director, and if those are as crappy as the last 10+ video game movies that have come out, the movie will be a disaster. Still, the fact that they're making Chun Li be the main character at least shows that they are somewhat aware of what the fans would like to see. I hope that the movie is a gritty international detective story involving the underground world of street fighting, with Chun Li being a spunky new Interpol detective who ends up in the middle of it all because of her incredible skill with martial arts.

1) She's half Chinese and I think's pretty bloody obvious from here apperance she's got some chinese. I was reading somewhere that Chun-Li's origin is chinese/french. Some blogger wrote it, could be wrong. With all that said, out of all the things to complain about her being in this film chinese aint one of them lol

2) Why even hold out hope for a decent script? It aint happening. Point. Blank period. Santa Claus imaginary fat ass has a better chance of coming down that chimmney. Past evidence in this genre is overwhelming

Kristen is from Canada so I assumed she was half Eskimo, but maybe I'm wrong.

Looks pretty Asian to me, your blind as a bat:woot: :

Her younger sister's name is Justine. Her father, Peter Kreuk, is of Dutch ancestry and her mother, Deanna Che, is of Chinese ancestry but born in Indonesia; both are landscape architects

Remember chun li's fight with vega from the street fighter anime movie??? I hope this movie's just 2 hours of that.
That anime film was 200 times better than the Van-Damme film.

FIRST mistake:

this movie being handled by HOllywood.

SECOND mistake:

casting Kristin Kruek as a chinese heroine when Zhang Ziyi would be a BILLION times better.

Third Mistake:
You believing Ziyi would want to be in ANOTHER one of these films, especially Street Fighter.....
