There's always DVD sales and international box office. It'll be interesting to see how it does in Japan since it's actually been promoted there.

I dunno if the 1,000 theatres is right. If it still isn't on my theatre listing tomorrow then I guess it is.

Yup. 1000 screens won't be enough to do much. Though I doubt it would have been a hit with distributions on a huge national scale in America. Fox must have had similar thoughts.

I saw MCD on Chelsea Lately. It is strange that Kreuk isn't the tip of the spear for this movie since she's the lead actress.

Chun Li is an interesting character. She may not be the main stars of ST like Ryu or ken but they can make a movie about her past easily. It's all in the execution. Unfortunately this movie looks like it failed, the mistake wasn't who the main character is in the film.

Probably, but I doubt we'll get a sequel. I think this movie looks like it could be an okay hollywood martial arts film but with the complete lack of hype I doubt this will make it's production budget back. I haven't heard anyone talking about it and when I told my friend it was coming out this week he was surprised because he didn't hear any word about it at all.
