Hi.
I never ever post on the Nintendo thread, but i thought that my first should be pretty special.

I am a student filmmaker, on the brink of hitting semi-big. I am in talks with a producer who has seen some of my films, and is considering financing a film I'm writing.

If this all works out, then I will bring a script to Los Angeles (with my writing partner), and try and sell it.

This script is none other than a Legend of Zelda Trilogy script. We are currently working on it, so if everything works out pitch-perfect, we will hope to start production immediatly.

As this is a Nintendo thread, I am deciding to premier the first script, "A Link to the Past", here, it will only be a sample though. It will be approximatley 45 pages.

Me and my friend are aiming for a 200 page-per-movie script. We should be done by the end of spring or beggining of summer. So stay tuned, and wish me luck.

Questions are welcomed.

How do you plan on telling the same story three different ways for a trilogy?

Cool, remember me when you're castting.:)
I should be in L.A. by then.

We plan on doing:

1. Ocarina of Time
2. A Link To The Past
3. Twilight Princess

We are going to use the plots of the games for them, except change them a bit. We are adding new scenes, and taking out some from the game.

Reminder: The scripts are in very early stages at the moment, I am currently very busy trying to work out my other film.

and what, exactly, does Nintendo think about you selling a script containing characters you don't own the rights to, under a title you don't own the rights to, to some un-named producer who I'd bet dollars to donuts (whatever the f**k that means) doesnt own the rights to anything either?

Also, every single Zelda game is simply a remake of the first f**king Zelda game, but with a flute or turning into a wolf thrown in, as far as the plot goes. It's the same basic story over and over again, and could in no way make a trilogy that wouldnt be boring as hell while sticking to the games.

I'm calling shennanigans on this :o

Its not that I dont wish you luck, but everything the Joker says is pretty much on the ball. Besides, Nintendo has had thousands of Zelda scripts sent to them by now. As for the producer thing..... dude, never count your chickens before they hatch.

Hopefully your writing partner has spell check and a grammar check. Or better yet, why don't you ask your high school English teacher to proof it for you.

thanks for your honesty.

but leave it to me dude, i've got compliments from actual studio professionals about my scripts and films. i would obviously go throught the legal things to get this done. if this happens, keyword: if
