honestly, looking at heath compared to jack, heath is not going to be someone to spout the very funny one-liners that jack did

jack is the comical joker, heath is the psychopath

the similarity between the two? they both make batman's life hell

Like I said in another thread. I reckon you may come out of the movie respecting The Joker somewhat. I mean, how strong have you got to be not to flinch at all when the BatPod thing is racing towards you? He just has no fear whatsoever!

Heath has truly transformed himself fromt he look to the voice, IMO when people see the trailer if they didn't know before hand that heath was cast, they probably won't even be able to tell that it's him which is truly amazing.

the mob boss he electrocutes (cant remember the name)
the mobsters outside the court room
his girlfriend ("threw herself out the window")
restaurant full of people
Bob the Goon, and more that ive probably missed

he killed a lot of people, but he did so in a funny and comical way, kinda like the way bugs bunny "kills" people in his cartoons (jack did refer to his joker as an insane bugs bunny) The emphasis of murder is lost due to jack's comical nature

Heath, on the other hand, seems like the kind of joker that would shoot someone, keep walking, shoot another person, and not even bat an eyelash. i mean, he's gonna unload on a street full of people.....darker joker much?

Thing is... not everyone has this idea that Jack's Joker was comical. One guy I know, who loves Batman Begins and the Burton films, I was talking to him and I said "I reckon the Joker in TDK (this was ages before I heard anything concrete about it) will be closer to the comics than the Nicholson one was."

The guy said "Yeah the Nicholson one wasn't that true to the comics... he was more psychopathic." So clearly there are quite a lot of people who think the comic Joker was just silly and that the Nicholson one was much darker.

I think he did in fact. To get a new approach, a new voice and earn to be the new Joker.
