I can't say I care much about the all-ages stuff or MAX. I don't want to go so far as to say "good riddance," but I certainly won't miss either of them.

What's really bugging me is Marvel's double- and triple-shipping. Avengers Academy and Thunderbolts are great and all, but I'd really like to see some new comics instead of multiple issues of the same series every month. I mean, shouldn't the House of Ideas have some actual ideas for interesting new series floating around somewhere?

While I like some of the characters I can't say I'll miss it. It went from a crappy book to a very good book to a mediocre book in a very quick spert. This next arc could prove entertaining but we'll see.

The events of Avengers vs. X-Men might also somehow effect the book so who knows what's to be expected.

It was a mistake to give Hope her own book so quick. Her exploits could have been easily told in UXM. Another case of overkill by Marvel.

Those books were/are all on the bubble once X-23 was canceled. If one or any of them got canned I wouldn't be surprised. THUNDERBOLTS has run for an extremely long time, but despite being a fan of Jeff Parker even I get bored with it sometimes. And Red Hulk's star has clearly faded since the Loeb era.

AVENGERS ACADEMY is close to that bubble, but Gage claims the book is safe at least through Marvel's event, likely because it's another Avengers book to do crossovers with. But that could change. It'll likely reach issue #30, though, which is a rarity and a feat for a new volume of something starring new(er) characters, has-been's and C-Listers.

I imagine the "Omega Drive" crossover will be an attempt to boost sales on PUNISHER and DAREDEVIL by attaching them to AVENGING SPIDER-MAN, which for now is selling well.

Really? Interesting. It's sales have fallen to levels that VENGEANCE OF THE MOON KNIGHT had, but still above cancellation range. Given that Bendis & Maleev are likely high on the payroll scale, though, they may have higher sales expectations.

It was "unofficially" canceled. As in, Marvel didn't outright announce it is over, but simply stopped soliciting it after issue #12 for months, so it is basically dead. Sort of like when a network says a TV show is "on haitus"...FOREVER.

Marvel cancels more books that way than "retconning" certain books into being mini's all along when they weren't, which was last done with Robert Kirkman's JUBILEE.

Really? Well, there goes 3.99 that Marvel is losing from me. At this rate I will barely be getting anything Marvel. It's amazing how one can basically go from a Marvel zombie to taking a poop right in their face.

Honestly, I was enjoying Moon Knight for the first 4 or 5 issues but I needed to drop stuff and the $4 price piont made it an easy drop. If not for the price I'd likely still be buying it.

Oh well.

I actually don't mind that it's 3.99. Bendis' story is really good and, of course, Maleev's artwork is so amazing that I just don't have a problem with the extra dollar. Even with Bendis on it the poor Moon Knight still can't sell.

Bendis has come out admitting that Marvel has cancelled Moon Knight on him.

He said he only intended on taking it to 12 issues and then let someone else take over. Marvel apparently opted to just end it at 12.

Punisher is going to at least make it through one arc after The Omega Effect crossover before it gets cancelled. They'll want to wrap it up in some way.

In other news, Marvel is relaunching their all ages books in April.

It's gonna be a sad day when Thunderbolts is finally canceled. It was Marvel's little third-tier book that could for the longest time. And of course it's hovering around cancellation territory when Jeff Parker's on it. Why are people so hell-bent on not reading Parker's comics? They're great.

I loved Agents of Atlas.
