....? None of the peers are 30 years old. Everybody is 14-20 years old besides Laura Harrier. And she looks way older than them. She'd have a better chance at playing one of the teachers at Midtown not a 15/16 year old teenager.

She doesn't look "way older" she looks like she can be the part. And even then they could make it so that MJ actually is a few years older than Peter. It could work, and they should do it.

i don't know who is bella hadid, but i was thinking mj could be like girls like carmella rose who have ended up as fashion models but started on instagram and tumblr. I tried to find one of her that wasn't too glammed up:

mj should be like that. In fact, carmella rose has a pretty perfect look for mj, but i doubt she's an actress. But that would be the sort of look i'd want for mj.

But the point is that even when she's not dolled up, she should still look pretty and confident with sass, and not some dry and awkward character who probably wouldn't even go on instagram. Mj seems like someone who would be concerned with maintaining her popularity and image and getting as much exposure on social media. And instagram is the perfect place for painting this ideal image of her life through pictures which isn't even a reality, because who knows how many times a girl has actually posed for a "casual" selfie or "candid" photo?

Carmella is gorgeous but I don't really see her as MJ. I guess it's very personal.
My #1 fancast for MJ (in general not Homecoming) always was Margot Robbie.

I would need a Mini-Margot for Homecoming. She looks the part and has great acting skills (I loved her in The Wolf of Wall Street).

By the way, I mean Gigi Hadid not Bella but whatever.

Now I don't want her as MJ at all, she's not an actress. But storywise, they could take inspiration from "celebrities" like her.

At the end of the day (in the 7th movie or somethingt I want MJ to do theater, but that's an other topic.

Well I think it has to be an actress, but one who looks young enough and seems like she'd actually spend her time on Instagram trying to promote herself.

I wasn't really suggesting Carmella Rose but someone like her with that sort of look, since Carmella is a model and not an actress. If she had been younger, then Willa Holland would've been great for MJ. Actually, so would Peyton List Sr (but she's nearly 30).

Margot Robbie is, of course, too old for the role.

I've never really been into Gigi Hadid.

I think by a certain age, and once a woman is established, they would probably stop going on Instagram so much and just have someone else maintain it all for them.

I noticed that Marvel likes to hire actors from tv shows (they are cheaper) but who are still legit by working on quality shows. They recently added Sterling Brown (who was fantastic in the mini serie America crime story) in Black Panther. I just finished watching Stranger Things (such a good show btw) it got a lot of exposure and there is a 19 yo actress in it, Natalia Dyer.

Now I don't see at MJ at all, but I could see Marvel hiring an actress in the same position. 19/20 yo actress working on an acclaimed tv show.
