The one big surprise about this show has been how seriously Patti clearly takes it. She has mentioned in interviews how much fun she had with the show and how much she loved the cast. She said she teared up the first time she saw the Witches' Road set. I think it all shows in her performance, especially this week. So special!

She’s fantastic and I agree. Sometimes with these properties, they’ll cast amazing actors that you can tell don’t really regard the material with a lot of respect and it shows in the performance. Not so with Patti, who is an absolute stage icon, and doesn’t view something like this Marvel series as beneath her. Absolutely amazing performance.

This is the right answer. People made Venom a success thus allowing Sony to double down on the Sony Marvel Universe (formerly Sony Universe of Marvel Characters aka SUMC) with stuff like Hypno Hustler, El Muerto, Madame Web, Kraven, and Morbius instead of just letting Feige and the MCU handle those characters. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't just make a Miles Morales live action film instead of these weird villain films.
