Lanterns better handle the constructs like the pilot film!
Omg, this pilot was bad lol! My brother and I had bootleg VHS copies of this, the Generation X pilot, and the Corman FF film. Good times lol

Great to hear. Especially with him emphasizing they weren’t gonna start filming until the script was locked. So many of the egregiously terrible effects in modern superhero stuff goes back to big changes being made on the fly long after principal photography has wrapped.

We need more big movies made this way again. And not just locked screenplays but make sure they’re succinct too. I would love to see GOOD comic book movies at 2 hours or less again.

Woof just catching up on the past several pges of conversation and idk where to begin.

I think the best way to summarize it all would be: Alicia Silverstone needs to return as Batgirl in Secret Wars to battle RDJ’s Doctor Doom but then have it be revealed that Doom is really Martian Manhunter and Secret Wars is actually George Miller’s Justice League Mortal in disguise which is also a musical.

Sorry folks, its late and its been a week already lol

I wasn't online at the time for F4 to see if people hated how Ben looked.

Actually looking forward to The Crow myself. It will never touch the original, but going for the best.

Comic fans were split on it, I think.

I remember on the talk show tour everyone was praising it.

I think people mostly liked it at the time. CG and motion capture wasn't where it is now, and for example Hulk looked abysmal in the 2003 movie. So while people saw the limitations on Thing's movement in the movie, I think people accepted the trade off. Now, that'd be a different conversation, but the Thing's suit wasn't one of the major issues that movie had

I remember not hating the Thing’s look in those movies back in the day (I still thought the movies were bad) but I heard someone recently say he looked like a burn victim and now I can’t unsee it.

Looks like we've got some epic bombs incoming to cinemas soon: The Crow, Hellboy and Coppola’s Megalopolis. Lawd that latest Megalopolis trailer :funny:

I mean... he aint wrong?

"We're paying the crew though" is a meaningless argument because obviously they're getting paid no matter the budget. He's missing the point that when people bring up the topic of crazy high budgets it's because of things like RDJ's price tag being the equivalent of a small country while VFX artists and production assistants get paid minimum wage for 70+ hour work weeks.
