Stop SF when he is telling lies....

I simply just wanna know how the Fantastic Four get to 616 in the Sacred Timeline and speed up these next two Avengers cash grabs so we can finally get to mutants.

:o
It's sad when I am at the point where I want them to just get Doom over with so I can move on with my life and forget about, but here we are

How poetic would it be if the only two Marvel franchises that still have longevity post-Secret Wars end up being X-Men and Spider-Man?

Oh I would love it.

They can have a few missteps but Drizzy they cannot ruin X-Men.

They could eat off that corner of the Marvel Universe for years alone if they do it right.

I hope so, but I just can't get my hopes up too much about upcoming Marvel stuff anymore. Just when I thought Fantastic Four could be a slam dunk, we get hit with RDJ Doom. The movie could very well be great but the fact that they don't have a proper Doom to square off against, at least right now, is a downer. Pun kind of intended. :o

There's two things that worry me about MCU X-Men. One has been discussed here before and that's the fear that the creatives won't get the source material and message at all or the powers that be restrain them.

The other is that I have a feeling that they're going to be too reliant on Jackman and Reynolds in X-Men movies, especially post-Deadpool & Wolverine's success. Now that they've seen some failures since Endgame, I can see them being afraid of the unfamiliar. I'm all for keeping Jackman around through Secret Wars to see him team up with Tobey's Spider-Man or fight the Hulk, all that fanboy stuff, fine. But I still don't think that Jackman needs to be the ONLY end-all be-all Wolverine in movies.

I feel you man.

Fantastic Four, I’m still hopeful about because that teaser really checked off most of the boxes that I needed it to, Doom is gonna be touch and go, but at this point, I’m willing to just see where they take him.

As far as X-Men, I’m cautiously optimistic. The fact that it’ll be a whole saga is great and shows me that they take it seriously, but like we talked about, we gotta see the execution first. With Jackman, I’m perfectly fine with him remaining as a Wolverine variant but ONLY with the Deadpool stuff, and I think that’s what will ultimately happen too. No matter how good looking he still is, no one is going to want to see his old ass bust slobs with Storm and Jean, so I’m sure Disney will have some casting tricks up their sleeve.

Deadpool isn’t someone who can be in every X-Men film without fundamentally changing it. Jackman will come at a big cost and didn’t really see huge box office in the Fox verse even after a ton of X-Men and solo Wolverine films while being very well-liked in the role.

There’s also no real need to take a risk on making X-Men at all if they’re worried, just keep doing Deadpool and Wolverine sequels at less risk and cost.

But if they’re willing to take the risk on F4 which has mucked up with every attempt, I think at least someone in the camp knows X-Men has potential that the Fox films never tapped into. You obviously don’t tap into the potential of a team property by focusing on just one of the team members.

Same as you, I’m fine with Jackman being a big part of Secret Wars, but the future of X-Men has to have a lot more to it or it could do no better than the Fox films and even some dedicated X-fans would give up.
