The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

Looks rough visually, but I dig the trailer. I was already sold on Corenswet, but finally getting to hear him and really see the energy he's bringing is nice. That's a superhero. I'm sold on that alone, even if some other bits and pieces maybe aren't my style.

Damn double post. F whoever sent the bot attack on this site.

Loved the new Supes trailer and like most have already said Corenswet just looks as sounds great in the role and the chemistry between him and Brosnahan looks on point as well especially during that interview scene.

It still feels like they are holding back on a lot of stuff but the action in this definitely feels EPIC IMO and I'm love seeing the bits with him interacting with regular citizens.

I have a feeling Gunn is going to do a great job with the worldbuilding in this movie and making Metropolis feel very lived in.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Sin City too, but I just don't have faith in this new Spidey spinoff.

But we'll see.
They're waiting to hear back from Xenforo and Cloudflare to see if it's a problem on their end.

Funny to see Lois and Superman rehashing one of the major themes of BvS during their interview. :hehe:

Pretty good trailer, thought the interview dialogue delivery was awkward at times. Something still seems off about the film, doesn't seem as grand as I thought it might look. The Engineer was great, wasn't familiar with her game as the kids say. Corenswet reminds of AEW wrestling's Tony Khan.

Corenswet seems to give such a genuine performance. He seems very believable in the role, especially that interview scene. Visually, I don't think this film looks too interesting -- not a fan of the colour grading. But I think, if Corenswet delivers a strong performance, it'll be a solid flick. He's already more emotive than Cavill.

Its very kinetic and dynamic visually, but the coloring is varying across the board. This trailer really highlights the tone, atmosphere and characters and it all looks great imo. Also liking the VFX and practicality as well. It has great texture to it.

Just making an observation: at the moment, the Superman trailer has 4.8 million views on YT while Ironheart has 3.3 million. Not a bad day at all for both the Marvel and DC Studios.

I'm impressed that Riri Williams is attracting as many eyeballs on the same day as Supes.

Thats because Marvel rebranded it as Sinners 2. :o

Does Paradise Lost not mean anything? :o

Is Diana in it? Then no, doing a spinoff before you have the character established does not count as being a part of your 4 pillers.

I do wonder if Superman may be able to improve on the MCU's demographic issues because they've had a project that already targeted the next generation. Jurassic World definitely has a younger dem primed. And it makes me wonder how She-ra and Voltron will do.

(remembers the Voltron fandom)

Well, then that fits with the current timeline....
