If Scorpion is coming back I really want those Vulture return rumors to be true.
If he's coming back, that means someone else has to come along with him :horn:

Seriously though, Vulture coming back could be really interesting. It would certainly tie really well into NWH and the theme of do-overs/second chances. After all, Peter taking Tomb's silence for granted really bit him in the ass as he continued to be careless with his secret.

Could certainly understand the hesitancy of revisiting that well so soon and the fear of repetition. I have no issues, assuming he's just a piece of the whole puzzle.

If this is true then this does seem to indicate that this is the more street level grounded Spiderman film we all wanted since day one and not some huge multiverse adventure with Tobey and Andrew popping back again.

Which makes me wonder what will Sony be getting in return? They're not scaling this back out of the goodness of their hearts. They still want to exploit this license even with the SSU being more or less dead. Just having Tobey and Andrew in Secret Wars eventually doesn't help their BO. So.....what's the price?

It's possible. Vulture played a role in the Most Wanted story arc that Destin Daniel Cretton mentioned a few months back when he was talking about the movie.

I would not assume that at all.
I think it has to be to an extent smaller cause Mr Negative doesn't scream Multiverse Threat like a Knull or Morlun would have. So I do think it will be smaller in scale than they wanted. But I also think Sony is going to be getting some sort of benefit. Like say....some SSU characters in Secret Wars? Maybe that planned Venom vs Holland Spider-Man crossover? Sony is getting something here

Venom takes out Dr Doom in Secret Wars :o

To be fair, none of the villains in NWH were multiverse threats in terms of their strength, but it still happened.

I think by the nature of where it comes in the calendar, it will have multiverse elements. And while I wish Tobey and Andrew weren't going to show up, even for a small cameo, Sony's going to want to be able to finally put them on a poster. And that might be why we're getting quite a few villains.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Yes, but the difference is for NWH, the intent seemed to always be like some multiverse Sinister Six and Spider-Men team-up from day 1. Here, we have had rumors ranging from Kingpin and a Daredevil team up all the way to Venom team-up against Knull and various other larger threats like a Mephisto and such. So if we were aiming for Knull or a supermega threat and we are coming back down to Mr Negative, that feels like it leans a lot closer to what Marvel wanted even if there are multiverse elements still. I don't think Sony would have come down from wanting a huge MCU/SSU blowup movie back down to this if there wasn't a bone being thrown there way in the future.

Yeah, I'm of the opinion that every Spidey movie will be having some sort of multiverse element from now on. Size will vary and we will get a big one soonish.

That's what I think Sony is going to get. They're going to be getting some big crossover with their universe at some point. Granted, I cannot substantiate my theory with hardcore facts. But I can't see them scaling this movie down and just being cool with Andrew and Tobey being value adds to Secret Wars without a more tangible benefit for their own box office and franchise.

All of this Spidey and X-Men speculating hurts my feelings.

I blame all of you for going to those damn Venom spinoffs and the animated movies that's not getting a sequel until Neveruary for this influx of symbiotes and multiverses. :o

But Steven Yeun as Mr Negative and a new non-white writer/director for the mutants could make things better.

Here’s one of the favorite moments from the PS1 era Spidey games:

It’s funny enough that they have blind as a bat Daredevil playing poker, but why on God’s Green Earth are three of the most virtuous Marvel characters (who all have strong moral objections to taking life) just casually having fun with Mr. Judge, Jury and Executioner, Frank Castle? It’s not that deep and all as it’s a non-canon game, but its been one of the funniest things I’ve seen. :funny:

LMAO.

I'm of the mind that Daredevil was just playing poker to keep up the facade that he still has his vision to the other heroes. But yeah, Cap would never sit down and be civil with Frank. And that would hurt Frank's heart. :csad:

Yeah, I think Sony wants their Knull trilogy. Team up with Marvel for it.

So the new rumour now says Feige and Iger are clashing over the X-Men reboot, with the first wanting explore social issues and the later saying "absolutely no".

I am so shocked. :o

Someone is trying to make Feige look good.

I mean I don't have a dog in the fight, but Iger telling Feige not to go there with X-Men is definitely feasible. He did just meet with the Convicted Felon over a new Disney park.

Welp.

I may never get the X-Men movie that I crave, but atleast we'll have a Batman movie where James Gunn makes him do the Batusi.

While Damian is in the background hacking and slashing goons with reckless abandon, of course. :o

I have never seen the old Superboy show, so I opted to watch the 1st episode a few moments ago. Overall, pretty standard network TV stuff, but man....that actor that plays Lex Luthor. Oof, he was awful
For the record, he gets replaced by Sherman Howard after that first season, and that dude’s great. The whole show got retooled big time after S1 (including a new lead actor, tho I was partial to the first one). Got some comic greats like Denny O’Neil and Mike Carlin writing for it, as well as future STAS MVP Stan Berkowitz. Show was cheap as dirt but had some fun stuff in those later seasons.

I can easily see why he got replaced, lol!!! First line the man had I was like wow that's a bad actor. Then they said he was Lex and I was like "I am sorry, what?" Lol

Doesn't the lead actor for Superboy change happen in S4? I feel like I vaguely remember that, but this is first time I have watched any of the show, so I trust you on this lol! I may watch more, but this might be a show I watch here and there and don't binge.
