I'm just not sure if this Clark is going to play OS at this time. There is definitely so much damage done. But it's a bad environment for an All American Superman flick.
isn’t it amazing how this movie can be “too woke and Unamerican” as well as “too American for international audiences”

Modern Superman discourse really is something, isn’t it?

Well, the word "woke" means nothing, so anyone that says that can be disregarded since they're a loser. There is an argument to be made that perhaps this film appeals more to the general American audience than it does the international audience. Especially when there are two other major movies out right now that are more interesting to them conceptually, dinosaurs and F1 racing, as opposed to yet another superhero movie.

The movie isn't woke. I understand awful people are being dumb to push an agenda, but the film's message on immigration is very right wing.

Also, don't mess with the 4 quad dinos.

I’m not actually digging into the validity of either argument, it’s just exhausting to see it all happen in real time, lol.

I liked the movie and I think they nailed all the important stuff. It’s not gonna make all the money in the world, but it seems like the reception it’s getting will at least warrant moving forward with their plan.

Anything more than that, and you’re just voluntarily making your head spin

I say for the umpteenth time, it really, really, really boils my blood how the masses took 'woke' and just ruined and bleached the hell out of it.

Black Americans can't have nothing. But I digress. :sneeze:

I know it's accelerated, but I think back at how blissfully ignorant I was for a very long time. Because this has always been there, lurking.

And at the end of the day, that enjoyment you felt, the way you were entertained is all that matters. I'll find out for myself in tomorrow's matinee, but it seems like a fun movie with a stellar cast and I'm sure it'll do what needs to be done.

I’d like to know what the merch sales (including comic books) outside the United States are like for DC properties and whether they’ve declined over the past 5-10 years and if the gap between Batman and everything else has grown. I don’t know if there’s some breakdown within WBD’s earnings reports, we just know investors haven’t been impressed overall over the years in the stock.

Fantastic Four will be a very good litmus test because if that comes out and makes all the money in the world, I think I may just have to accept that there is just irreparable damage that DC will never truly overcome with Superman

Regardless, they have a lot of ground work to do with repairing the global perception of these characters

We have someone to blame, though.

I do hope you’re able to enjoy, it’s a fun time at the movies at the very least

Maybe take a cue from Marvel and stop trying to make superheroes with colors of the flag... But not really since gold isn't a color on the US Flag.

And if not:
