At that point she was determined never to be shackled to a man again. :o
"No, Jack. I'm sure. Not enough room."
Yet she still ran back to him in the afterlife. Meanwhile, her husband of 60 years:

I'm just not sure if this Clark is going to play OS at this time. There is definitely so much damage done. But it's a bad environment for an All American Superman flick.

I think its a bad time for American style superheroes, period. FF going in on the americana isn't going to help.

I think the 60s Americana aesthetics and the much more overt thematic stuff in Superman are very different. It could be an issue for FF too but Superman feels like it’s very specifically by Americans for Americans.

Maybe the only thing actually interesting about Superman as a movie is this divide between domestic and international. I don’t think anyone whose not an American wants to hear or see wide eyed Americana right now - I can’t imagine anything I’d want to watch less in 2025.

I'm a whole, red-blooded native New Yorker and I don't want to see any kind of Americana my damn self. That's why I roll my eyes at the 'oh go see Superman, the world needs one right now' talk.

If the world really wanted a Superman, we wouldn't have who we have in the Oval right now.

What FF is doing is VERY american, though. But at the same time, it is trying to evoke the kind of deluded nostalgia that powers MAGA. I don't think a movie presenting itself as a part of america's "great" past is going to work.

It will be interesting to see what F4 does overseas for sure. I see and agree with what @Sithborg is saying, but at the same time I think Superman is just kinda more inextricably linked with America across the world, plus Marvel still has some brand cache, so I think it will do a bit better.

I still believe the dinos are winning July unless F4 is much more surprising than it looks.

[looks at BNW and Thunderbolts]

I'm not entirely sure how much cache they have worldwide.

Simple. McFarlane stepped back and the new people in charged went away from directly going for political humor to whatever kind of crazy **** they want.

The Christmas adventures are always fun.

With non-obscure characters.

Not sure how much Marvel Rivals would push the FF into the mainstream. Which frankly, is likely the most likely place the international audience knows the FF over the many, many failed movies.
