The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

I have emerged from War of the Worlds.

Hasn't he made it clear for years he's good people?

Pretty sure he's done this before.
I don't love how he openly proclaims to be natty when he obviously isn't (some of the stuff he says about how he achieved his physique could really **** up young men's body image when it doesn't work for them).

Nevertheless, his recent openness regarding his struggles with bipolar personality disorder and standing up for victims of sexual assault given his experiences as a young male model suggest he is overall good people.

Yeah where's "Alan Richson has great jeans" commercial. :o

I enjoyed Fantastic Four. I'd ultimately give it a positive review but I am disappointed that it was rushed and half-baked.

Kinda feels like I was seated next to a table at a restaurant that I can tell is having fun but I don't know them. I'm hearing some say they "don't have chemistry" which isn't how I'd word it, I don't think the movie paused long enough for us to really sit and watch them chop it up.

I'd argue one of the main reasons why the Avengers movies are so good is because each one of them shows us how they hang out, how they argue, etc.

Introducing us to this world and cast through quick news-clip montages and scenes that don't last longer than 45 seconds was a weak opener and I don't think the movie ever fully recovered from that.

But Sue and Johnny ended up being standouts for me, and as a new father there were several moments I was 100% in the bag for.

There's too many goddamn Robins. Now I'm starting to see why fans voted for Jason Todd to bite the dust. :o
My hot take

Dick, Jason and Damien are the only interesting ones. OG Robin, bad boy Robin and bio son Robin get the biggest spotlight.

Steph was only Robin for a hot minute and hardly anyone remembers her time as Robin. No one cares about Carrie Kelley. Tim has his fans but feels like the least relevant Robin now.

If I see you put Weapons over Sinners on your letterboxd, we squaring up.

I don't want no hard feelings after either. :o
Weapons is #2 after Sinners for me...however...

Aunt Gladys is the villain of the year right now. Remmick from Sinners couldn't hold a candle to her evil ass. I can't believe that was the mom from Field of Dreams playing her.

Drizzy she was cold but dammit SHE WAS FUNNY.

My theater lost it when little Alex sic'ed his classmates on her and that Scooby Doo chase they did. All they needed was the background music!

Silver Surfer was lowkey funny in it too. Her character was a hoot.

Aunt Gladys getting her comeuppance was maybe the most satisfying scene in a movie this year. Cue the Monkees Scooby-Doo chase music. :o
